So you just let the car come to a stop?
How about letting the clutch back out while the trans is in 2nd and you're still rolling...should start the engine back up unless the electronics won't allow a bump start anymore....?
That's really weird. If you bring it to the dealer let me know what they say. It hasn't personally happened to me but having a 5.0 Manual mustang like yourself does make me wonder if it's only a matter of time until it happens to me too. I only have 4.5k miles on mine though
Ok, this might sound dumb but, is there any chance that your hand touched (and pressed) the push start button while downshifting ?!
I know the odds are pretty low, but you never know lol
