So you just let the car come to a stop?

How about letting the clutch back out while the trans is in 2nd and you're still rolling...should start the engine back up unless the electronics won't allow a bump start anymore....?

The thing is when it stopped I didn't realize what had happen. I was pressing the gas and I wouldn't move. I didn't try popping the clutch once it died. I had to press the couch in and hit the start button.

That's really weird. If you bring it to the dealer let me know what they say. It hasn't personally happened to me but having a 5.0 Manual mustang like yourself does make me wonder if it's only a matter of time until it happens to me too. I only have 4.5k miles on mine though

What's your build date? What package do you have? I will keep you posted. I have an appointment tomorrow at 7:30am so I should have answers by 4pm tomorrow

Ok, this might sound dumb but, is there any chance that your hand touched (and pressed) the push start button while downshifting ?!
I know the odds are pretty low, but you never know lol

Seeing you cannot push start modern cars anymore, I doubt this would work.

Every once in a while I kill my 2012 Golf TDI (Diesel) and as long as the electronics are on, I am able to restart the engine with the speed and momentum. Using the pedals of course not the push-start button.
