Seems kind of silly and I think you’d notice other issues as well, but is the bolt in your steering wheel slightly loose? Enough that it’s still holding the wheel against the column but not fully seated?
I haven’t thought to check it since the steering wheel has never been off, but I should just to be sure. Thank you for the tip.

Something I did check was the two bolts on the steering shaft in the engine bay, which was recommended to check. Those are tight.

Something I did check was the two bolts on the steering shaft in the engine bay, which was recommended to check. Those are tight.
It shouldn’t back out on its own but I guess stranger things have happened.

I haven't checked my rotors with any tools to verify they are not warped. However, my braking is smooth, and honestly I would be shocked if the rotors were warped. The 25K I have put on my car in these 4 years is nearly all freeway. I drive slow and pre-plan as many stops as possible.
My experience was very similar. I was very easy on my truck, and all of a sudden a small wiggle could be felt in the wheel around 50-60 mph. Hit the brakes, it goes away. Well fast forward, after inspecting wheel bearings, steering stabilizer, shocks, tire pressures, wheels for debris, bearings, and then having two mechanics look at it, I decided to swap the rotor. Low and behold, wiggle went away.

The only thing I didn't check was the rotor.

Thank you for your feedback. I’ve got a few things on my checklist to verify, once I’ve verified all of the free items, I’ll price out some rotors and explore that avenue.

Somewhere I remember reading that caster differences side-to-side can cause symptoms like this.

I know that caster is not adjustable on the S550 from the factory, but I'd imagine that some subframe shifting or careful manipulation of various suspension mounting point fasteners could even out the difference.

I re-aligned my car yesterday and added some front toe-in as well as some more negative camber up front.

Currently, I’m sitting at -1.0 camber in the front (OE Spec is -0.7) (previously I only was running -.3 camber up front) and I have a total toe-in of +.07 in the front (approximately toed-in .035 on each the left and right side) (previously was at zero toe)

I took my car for a lengthy test drive immediately and I no longer have a shimmy in the wheel.

Unfortunately my shimmy has come back. I’ve been pretty busy over the past few months and have just lived with it. I might dig into this further when I find the time.

ANC in Forscan is for active noise canceling. ANC is not used as an acronym for active nibble control.
