Thanks! I'll try removing it. Sounds weird. Don't think i'm a big fan.
It's okay if you LIKE the sound which some do or Ford wouldn't spend the money on it. But many people don't like the sound which is why companies sell eliminator kits. To me it was an unpleasant sound, so I removed the sound tube.

If it piped in more exhaust noise I would like that. I understand Ford actually tried that but lost too many testers to carbon monoxide poisoning. ;)

I have left mine, it dont bother me being in the engine, and I really cant hear it when in the cockpit
but do listen to podcasts and music, and actually talk to my passengers :D
Only noise I hear is the rumble of the Borlas as i touch the pedal, I mean what else is their to hear :headbang:

Any ideas if EU GTs have the ANC? My local dealer's spec sheet for the GT lists the ANC as a standard feature, but maybe that's a type.

Weird if it's really not available in the GT, since it's in the Ecoboost and other Fords since a long time.

I don't think any of the GTs and the V6s have ANC. It's only the EBs get them.

Does removing this sound tube actually do anything? Just wondering.
the sound tube produced a resonance that made me hate driving long distances so thats why i ripped it out.

I capped off the sound tube when I installed my intake. I never noticed a difference in sound.

Yes. Engine sounds shift noticeably to the rear of the car, are more exhaust-oriented, and are slightly lower in volume, but not by much. I prefer the sound without the tube.
