I haven't found any funnel in the car? Might need to take it up with the dealer. Might be next to the banana
It is in the boot / trunk.

Lift up the carpet for the Spare Wheel Well.

It is only a small funnel, and is located at the top of the Spare Wheel Well, closet to the rear of the car.

It slides onto a small bracket.

Refer to Page 102 of your Owners Manual.

It is not obvious, as it is small, and would be easily missed unless you were auctually looking for it.

It's looks to be very similar to the locking system on my Mondeo in that only something the size of an unleaded pump nozzle or the funnel in the boot will unlock the gate. Unless this happens anything poured down there just drains out near the rear tyre.

Ok confirmed the fuel door does not lock! Dodgy if you ask me.

As for the funnel, it's actually like a Shewee LOL http://shewee.com.au/

My miniature scale banana fits inside it perfectly - no need for the cargo net.
Just wondering Drewbo, if you will be distributing the miniature scale banana to fellow mustangers on the forum so we can use that as a standard measuring tool in our pics. Do you have a price in mind?

Cheers :)

For those of you interested, here's a bit more detail from Ford Service regarding how the fuel cap works on the Mustang to protect against syphoning and contamination;

The technology behind capless refuelling systems are designed to ensure that our owners are putting the correct fuel into the vehicle, as well as significantly increasing the difficulty in fuel syphoning and contamination.

The capless refuelling system consists of a spring-loaded flap which is held shut with two latches that can only be released by a standard-size fuel nozzle. When a standard-size fuel nozzle is inserted into the filler neck of the system, the latches release and the nozzle pushes the spring-loaded flap to the open position. Once the nozzle is removed, the flap is automatically and firmly closed by the spring.

To prevent improper fuelling and syphoning, an inhibitor is in place to detect whether a foreign tube or nozzle (e.g. a diesel nozzle or plastic hose) is being inserted into the fuel tank. If a foreign device is placed in the filler neck of a petrol powered vehicle, the latches will automatically not release. The same with diesel vehicles, the latches are designed to keep smaller petrol nozzles out.
