Is $140 a pre sale special or is that the final price?

Correct, $140 is our discounted pre-sale rate. Our MSRP will be much greater than this.

Thanks!
Any idea on when and how much on MSRP? Trying to scrape together the fundage!

Our pre-sale rate of $140 will be available until around February 6th. Once this unit is officially released (on the 6th), the MSRP will be $215.

Thanks!

Nice timing...seeing as how I just got a new Mustang and all :) Even though I'm not modding yet, with a DI engine I almost see a catch can as a necessity really. I've seen your products on various other car forums in the past and they always looked good. I'm pretty sure one of these kits will be under my ecoboost's hood soon.

Yes, we collected quite a lot of byproduct in a very short period of time. A catch can system is a wise investment, especially if the vehicle has relatively low mileage.

Thanks for the kind words!

@Mishimoto Anyway you guys could put an install video together for this?

Also, what are your recommend service intervals based on the amount of collection observed?

Yes, we will certainly be putting together an installation video for this kit. We just installed our most recent prototype and it was an extremely quick process (less than 30 minutes).

We recommend checking the can contents after about 1k miles. This should provide a gauge for how much byproduct your particular vehicle is producing.

Feel free to follow-up with additional questions.

Thanks!

Order submitted.

Just placed my order (and had it sent to my wife, lol :D)

Now mind you, we're not even planning on ordering our Mustang until April or May. Hopefully, nothing will prevent that from happening between now and then,,,. :hail:

Just a question, what country do you build your hoses, catch cans and inter-cooler systems in ?

Did you test the byproducts that your catch can collected to determine the percentage of
water to oil ratio.

I have sent our collections out to be tested and will share them.

Sure Joe. Our products are manufactured in a variety of facilities. Mishimoto is a global provider with offices in Delaware, Los Angeles, Birmingham United Kingdom and Shanghai, China. All products are designed, engineered and tested in New Castle, Delaware at our corporate headquarters using state of the art machinery (CMM arms, AWD Dyno, Rapid Prototyping, etc.). The manufacturing location depends on the product we are manufacturing. For example, all of our intercooler pipes for diesel trucks are made in Los Angeles. Our stamped aluminum brackets come from Texas.

The catch can kit referenced in this post is made in China, under strict control of our American operated Shanghai branch. We try to make as many parts in the States as possible, where feasible. With that said, much like Samsung or Apple, it comes down to the engineering behind the part and the quality control of the manufacturing. With a lifetime warranty on every part we manufacture, it is safe to say our parts are of the highest quality.

In terms of byproduct collection, we have not sent our samples out for testing. We did notice a high percentage of the byproduct was fuel.

Thanks
