Yes, the A10 started in 2018. It does not come "standard" on any Mustang. As others have said it is an option for all, base & premium.Super noob question: The 10 Speed Automatic started with the 2018 models correct? Did all the 2018 models (including the base models) come with the 10 Speed Automatic? Or was it something you had to pay extra for?
Technically you don't need an aftermarket tune. You simply need to update to Sync 3 and change the necessary programming with Forscan which will give you driving modes that comes with the 301A. Did it on my '19 GT.Not all A10’s come with the factory drag mode. 300a base model A10’s do not have it. Aftermarket tune needed to replicate drag mode wot shifts.
Also add switches right? pretty cool that it is possible to add with forscan. Do you know if aftermarket tunes still work after youve done this?Technically you don't need an aftermarket tune. The switches are on the FCIM (Front Control Interface Module) - the Premium radio / AC control bezel. Aftermarket tunes have nothing to do with drive modes. Drive modes simply adjust throttle mapping (more sensitive, less sensitive) and adjust active exhaust (if equipped), engage / disengage traction control, launch control etc and affect shifting on Auto models. Also add switches right? pretty cool that it is possible to add with forscan. I already had the swap in my '17 - which is actually more expensive than converting a '19. For a '19 you need the APIM (computer than runs Sync 3) which is attached to the back of the 8" touch screen and you need the front bezel. What did it cost?
Post # 5.I think the OP meant is the A10 the only auto available in the 18+ or does the base models still get the 6R80. The answer is simple, all 18+ mustangs with an auto get the 10R80
Yup - but you still have the 4" screen. My GT is my daily - the 8" screen with Carplay makes the car so much enjoyable for me driving it everyday. I likely won't tune this one - until my area starts getting more E85 pumps at least.$450 for BDX tuner and 3 custom tunes. ;).
Yeah, I sprung for the pp1 and wanted to stay under 35k new. It was tuned after driving home from dealership. ;).Yup - but you still have the 4" screen.
