The stock spool is TOO FAST. Takes the fun out of driving the car, drives kinda like a V8. its a turbo car it should drive like one. And i dont care about rally cars, its a mustang they are meant for straight line. (i wish it had a solid axle still so we can run a proper 15" slick)

The fuel system sucks, DI sucks. MAkes it way to complicated to run e-85. Would be nice to drop in some ID1000 injectors, tripple pumps and run 35psi boost on corn. I cant wait till they get this ironed out, E-85 is so plentiful its almost a crime to not run it. Ford had the right idea, the world needs more turbo/rwd cars, this car is my poor mans Supra.

Did you not test drive the car before purchase? You are doing a lot complaining about a car that is currently one of the hottest on the market

As I read this - and before I got to the bottom - I literally thought to myself "Man this dude should just buy a Supra!" :lol:

I just have to ask, why did you drop 25k plus on this car when you could have bought a supra, a 2jz, and the parts you mentioned for the same price or (probably, not big into supras recently) LESS?!

Maybe he should just sell his ecoboost and get a supra then. One can still be had for about $25k, and hopefully it's unmolested.

You must be new. A turbo 4 that drives like a V8 is a bad thing? You must like a car that is a dog off the line then tries desperately to make it up on the top end.

I like mine to make linear power- kind of like a V8 so, ya know, I can go fast where it counts and not have a highway queen that drives like crap on the street.

We also don't need a 15" slick- it's 2015, there are great tires made that work just as well. Me and a few others have cut 1.5's on these horrible low-pro drag radials. Life is tough, maybe you can run a 28" slick on a 17...

Running E85 isn't rocket science, not much to iron out. I will be one of the few doing it here soon- parts are in the mail.

You need a fuel rail from CP-E (I prefer as it directs fuel into each port) or a TB rail. Some injectors- like stock Coyote injectors, and a controller. It's not hard, you just have to pay to play.

New to what? I have had many fun cars over the years. Evo, STI, 2 2003 cobras (one whipple, one kenne bell), 300zxTT. If you want a turbo car that responds like a V8 then why not just buy a V8? The whole fun of a turbo car is the rush as it builds boost then being pinned in your seat.

Congrats on 1.5 60ft, Auto cars i assume. I prefer the taller, softer sidewall, and price of a 15", does a better job absorbing the shock when the clutch is dumped.

On E-85, thats great to hear, i have not seen where any kits were available yet. thats the main thing holding me back from going forward with the car.

And no one answered, why not use turbonetics turbos?

Good luck, the MAP kit is the most affordable turbo kit on the market. The chances of you making it as nice, and as cheap is low.

That is just parts, and I shot for the upper end of pricing. That alone is $3445.00, so that difference is labor and shipping.

There's still a build of boost and a "rush", there will never be instant response like a NA V8, but I don't see the point of wasting any more RPM than absolutely necessary to get into the power. Thus, faster spooling turbos.

That is a totally fine opinion to have, but also totally subjective. Personally? I love the daily driveability of this breed of turbo. A handful of my friends had single turbo Supras growing up with just those very characteristics. Flesh tearing power after a whole bunch of lag and they were total snore fests on a daily basis with only 2 or 3 usable gears on the street and lag up to 4K. Midnight up to 160 on the interstate or at the track with DR's was a different story. But that's a tiny fraction of the cars life. For me, I would need another car for the other 90% of the time.

With direct injection and being a 4 cylinder, I'm not sure it fits the makeup of this car.

I answered. If you can make it fit do it. No reason not to use a Turbonetics turbo.

Because Turbonetic turbo's are notoriously huge fails. Especially their lower line of turbo's. If you want a cheap turbo, buy an entry level Precision for $600.00.

However, I'm very curious why people want to shove cheap stuff on their $30,000 brand new vehicle.

The turbo I'm using on my build cost as much as two turbos, because the car deserves it.
