They ran a 10.88 at 122 I believe. They're looking at a new intake to run nitrous and hit 9s.

Any dyno curve or figures for the base tune? This safe for a stock block, or does it need to be built? Obviously the 10.88 can't be done on stock block, but a derated tune might still work depending on the torque curve.

I think 10.88's are possible on the stock block. I, along with a few others, are going to give it a shot. I'm going to try on pump gas (E85) and a VTT STG 2. Build smartly and efficiently.

I have not seen where you guys have even been back to the track with your EcoBoost after the glory passes of 2014. I kept checking in to see if you would post a new best, but there was nada.

Mike

mbreinin,

As many of you know, Livernois Motorsports started hitting the EcoBoost Mustang hard right from the minute we received our car. Being the First production EB Mustang in the 12's, and then the first to the 11's was no small feat. After reaching these milestones we started concentrating developing our other parts and pieces for the EB Mustang, and of course customer's builds and our products for the other vehicles we support as well.

Earlier this year, we decided to help create, and sponsor the first ever EcoBoost Battle at the NMRA Bowling Green World Finals. We originally did this without the intent of bringing any company cars. Being a company that firmly puts our customers first, it wasn't until less than 2 weeks prior to the event that we decided to give it a go with our prototype version of our Turbo Upgrade we were working on. Unfortunately, the timing just wasn't there to get it completed with Dan Millen having to attend to other matters at the same time as the race, so we decided to take the car to showcase our work so far, and then begin working on it again afterwards.

With The EcoBoost Battle in the record books, we decided to start working on validation of the core components of our Windstorm Turbo Upgrade system on our car. We decided the world was ready to see what we were working on and showcased our turbo upgrade as a new product at SEMA. After winning an international award for product design, we came back from SEMA ready to track test our new upgrade package, and Today was that day.

At a little after 2pm today, we reset the World Record for EcoBoost performance. Not only sporting the world's quickest EcoBoost Mustang, it's also the world's quickest EcoBoost powered vehicle. But more importantly, this is no purpose built race car, just an upgraded street car, just as our car has always been.

This Record setting run ended up being a [email protected] and was achieved with the following upgrades:

Livernois Motorsports Windstorm Turbo Upgrade kit featuring a Precision Turbo 58/58 Ball Bearing Turbo
Livernois Motorsports Snowstorm methanol injection system
Livernois Motorsports Snowstorm Intercooler upgrade
Livernois Motorsports Pro-Series Shortblock
17" Drag wheel/tire combo

What's even more impressive is the list of items we did NOT upgrade, as this car had the following stock parts:

Suspension
Gear
Posi
Axles
Driveshaft
Injectors
Fuel System
Map Sensor
Brakes
Interior (less Passenger seat)
Radio and Navigation

Next step, maybe a little bit of nitrous to see what that nets us when added to this record setting combo

Video to follow, but for now, feast your eyes on the time slip.

All of the tuning info will be made public shortly. We literally came back from SEMA on Sunday and started working on Monday. It was a rough 3 days for us, but the ET is what makes it all worth it!

Nice! Lookin forward to more info regarding dyno numbers for the customer tuning on this turbo. I'll donate my car if u need another one to test on btw ;) won't even make u go through the trouble of taking it back off

Just saw the 10.88 thread too. You guys love to drop surprises don't you?

Whenever you are ready my friend, we are ready for you
BTW it is really swell of you to not make us do the install AND uninstall!

We do like to keep a lid on some things...even us employees did not know what the ET was until late last night. Only the owner, head calibrator, driver and head tech knew about it!

10's might be pushing it a little bit for a completely stock motor. If the car is a DD a setup that aggressive would not be much fun to drive.

Don't fret world we are close to the release of our, SEMA award winning best new product, Windstorm Turbo Upgrade Kit! And yes, I did say SEMA award winning!

Why a precision with so many other new better flowing options out there that will help this car spool faster?

We don't do any piggyback tuning, but we could do dedicated tunes on a single handheld.

Man $5k is terribly expensive for a turbo upgrade.......

Not really. If you look at almost any factory turbo upgrade kit minus any machined additions they are around the $2k mark. We are including a customly designed billet components on top of an exclusive turbo design. Nobody ever claimed that modifying a car was inexpensive.

So your billet adaptor and a downpipe warrant $3k? Just not seeing it.......

You're kind of taking what I said out of context. The kit as a whole is completely custom and exclusive. Aside from the bolt ons there are the all custom billet inlet, billet adapter, billet wheel and wastegate.

Don't get me wrong, the billet adaptor is absolutely gorgeous! I love it! And the vband turbine housing is sweet! But I would love it a lot more with a sub $4k price.....

Maybe volume of orders will allow for the price point to decrease. At the present time all of the components are made to order by hand. If we can mass produce all of the parts that will make everything less expensive. Right now, we have to live tool everything on 2 different CNC machines...THAT IS EXPENSIVE!
