Differences Between Voodoo/5.2 heads and Standard Coyote Castings

Hello,

I was hoping those of you familiar with the Voodoo heads might be able to shed some light on this for me. I recently acquired a Flat Plane Voodoo Shortblock and I was trying to figure out which heads to top them with. I already have a set of Ported Boss heads and I was wondering if I were to use the valvetrain from the Voodoo in those heads (Lash Adjusters, Rockers, Cams, Valves, Springs, Etc) If I would be able to use those on a Flat plane voodoo Shortblock. I know the Voodoo Heads are available from FPP but id like to avoid the 4k pricetag for a set of heads that don't flow as well as the set of heads I already have. Thank you in advance

Lash adj. interchange. Valves and springs do not. In addition to the larger heads on the voodoo valves, the stems are longer and thinner and the springs are taller. Rockers do not as well.
The voodoo cams may physically fit the boss head, not sure. I believe the base circle of the voodoo cams is smaller than coyote cams so even if it did fit, you will need to figure out a way to maintain proper contact between cam. follower and valve.

Would you consider swapping out the crank to a CP. These are pretty cheap and It then essentially becomes a 5.2 Boss. Or is the Voodoo part of it that appeals ?

i would change the direction with your build. sell the crankshaft and get one for a coyote. your boss heads come ported from the factory and flows like a stock gen2 heads
