just saw that acme is taking preorders for the bullitt!

May seem silly, but I have a model of almost every car I’ve owned over the years, and this just made my day.

Price?

Way more than I want to pay....maybe put it on my Christmas list.

At that price it had better be. I may have to pick one up, but I'd rather find a 1:18 of a GT350.

Actually emailed them and suggested a custom plaque would be great. Maybe for those interested, email and make the request. Maybe if they get enough requests, they may go for it...

Even though it's listed as from Acme Direcast, this ad seems to suggest it's not metal, meaning there would be no opening hood, doors, or trunk.

If it's not die cast, then not interested. Will hold out for a die cast one....

Thanks for the heads up. I love it, but I also will only order if it’s diecast metal.
If not, surely someone will make one sometime soon.

I'd pick up a diecast one if it were 1/3 of that price. $150 is crazy to me when I can walk down to the garage and see the real thing.

That is a little high although I did pay $100 for the 08 Bullitt and $49 for the 01 Bullitt from Autoart which was very high quality.
Acme makes nice products but I would be curious how close the color matches and details before laying down that kind of cash.

Folks I was just checking the prices of the previous models and I was stunned by how much people want to charge!

I emailed Acme, and they confirmed it is a "sealed resin model" So that makes it even more expensive for what it is.

Thanks for checking that. I prefer the opening parts on a model in that price range. I know it the resin can be high quality, but I want those opening parts.

Exactly! I emailed Autoart and waiting for a response to see if they have plans to mfg. I was very pleased with the details on the 08 bullitt which by the way was 1:18 scale for $100.

I'll wait for the die cast version. Funny, because the newsclip I linked was headlined die cast bullitt....from acme diecast company.
