Did they ruin this GT500 or do you like it?

The race stripes don't look factory either. The spacing looks to big between the stripes so I think they may have added those too? I guess not just spaced apart further but those stripes are like twice as wide as they should be too. All the extra stripes need to come off. Also definitely not work the price tag either IMO
I looked up the window sticker via the Carfax and it was originally a white stripe car so yeah the whole stripe package was changed. It’s a well optioned car, CF interior, tech pack and handling pack with the Recaro’s. And FP Blue is a beautiful color.

edit: original sticker was $83,265 so at $86,995 I wouldn’t say the price is outrageous. Pretty inline with what I’m seeing in my area.

stripes/vinyl can be removed. I would be more concerned with the Nittos they put on this car. It will go nowhere with those, haha!

Black out the red and it probably wouldn't look too bad.

Easy to conclude where the car is from. Do to the rampant unchecked auto theft in the great state known as,
The Peoples Republic of California.
Just the latest attempt at implementing another new vehicle anti theft system.

Reminds a person of the necessary changing of the rat poison chemistry at the rail yards, that bring in the Barley/other grains, to brewing companies like the Budlight manufacturing facility. Done about every 6 wks, (due to rapid birth immunity of the rodents).

& now, so must the residents/car owners of the Left Coast, constantly change the Anti-theft ideas,
(horrific graphics schemes being the most recent to find overrides to) before the crime element can adapt, & eventually find optical pleasure in the hideous external presentations.

If it's just to embarrassing to steal, they should just move onto the next car. Eventually, generational immunity to to the ugliness will require new concepts, just as the rat poison must be changed.

What else could possibly explain this?
Really? That’s my local dealership. Here’s my car when I dropped it off for service and took photos of that 500, but yah, you know us pretty well. But hey, keep feeling superior about a place that you know nothing about or people who live here.

Yeah at least if it was vinyl you could sell the idea of having it removed.
if it was vinyl, it would've already been removed. Guy who did that used to have Mach 1, he did the same thing to that car and then traded it in for the 500. Owner of the dealership is a friend of mine, I would’ve told him not to buy it if he would’ve asked my opinion. It’s not going to move unless it’s repainted or costs much cheaper than other 500s that don’t have that horrible eye sore of a paint job.

Interesting. Guy that traded it in clearly does not have good taste. Good luck to the dealer but they’re going to have a tough time with that one. Their best bet might be to throw it in a dealer auction and see if someone else takes it off their hands for less of a hit than respraying the car would cost.

That’s neither an easy or inexpensive mistake to fix. I think if I was the painter I’d have called in sick that day. To each there own though.

Imo the car needs to be repainted before it will sell.

I hate seeing stuff like this...GT500s were not easy to get (at least where I am) and then some guy @#$%ed this one up only to want to sell it a few years later. Sure it can be fixed at some level of effort/price, but it should have never happened.
