There is a tuner from Mid Atlantic Performance named Mike Rousch. He's very good with the 2011-2014 autos. One of the best tunes, horrible customer service unfortunately.

Mine manual has the dreaded delayed acceleration, but i am not ready to go tune yet. Still trying to get a grasp of what it's all about(not to mention my warrenty). Would an AIRAID CAI help any?

I've contacted Lund about a similar problem I'm having with mine. I'm running a CAI, Headers, Full Exhaust and Tune. It's usually when I go from cruise to WOT that mine decides to hang out and then take off. I have to send them some data logs this weekend. Hopefully I can duplicate the issue, because it's really intermittent. They said there's a chance it could be a faulty O2 sensor. But, most of the time when you mash the pedal, it's a struggle to keep it in one lane.

Ughh...so i'm guessing a tune is the only way to remedy the problem. As previously mentioned once it DOES decide to giddyup, it's a battle to keep it in one lane.

The only problem with the JMS is the price. $290 for a JMS vs. $450 for an X4 and tune. Only $160 difference and a tune does so much more.

same thought i had. i was very interested in the pedalmax when i first heard about it, then saw that price tag and i just cant bring myself to pay that when a decent tune is so close in price. if it was closer to the 200 mark i likely would've done it.

Hi, wondering if anyone is experiencing the same. Have a 2015 auto GT, Air Raid CAI, no tune, Borla catback. What I have noticed is from a stop there is a delayed acceleration, seems sluggish for a few seconds...than seems fine. Never noticed it till a few months ago after I bought a second GT, a stock 13. The 13 flies from the get go...quite a difference. I wouldn't think the 15's mods would do this. Anyone? Thanks.
Dropped it off at the dealer today. See what they say. Watch them try to tell me i caused this issue by adding a catback and cai.

Do you mind describing the symptom with more detail? I.e. does it seem that the engine is "waiting" to apply throttle even after pressing the gas pedal? Or, are you saying that the pull seems lacking for the first few seconds?

I drive mostly in Normal mode, and there is both a slight delay, and lack of pull. The effect is approximately the same when I put the lever into 'S'. I have not used Sport+ much at all so far, mainly because of my daily driving situations. But it certainly feels peppier.

Also, my car acts like it is turbocharged, because the pull does not really begin until 4000 rpm. I am considering picking up up a 3.55 rear diff to help out the low end torque. The PP car really pulls hard, and it has the highest ratio diff. I recall test driving the 3.55 auto, and it too pulled hard. (What keeps me from jones'ing for one too much is that is won't make much difference in coming out of a turn in 2nd or 3rd, because it is all about throttle position and available traction anyway.)

What rear end ratio is on your car?

It seems to hang with slow acceleration for a second or two on throttle...versus my 13 stock GT that is quick on the get go. Best way i can describe it. The sluggish 15 has the 3.55, the 13 has the stock 3.15 gears.

In that case, I am sorry for your loss.
And I will be monitoring this thread so that we can learn what cures it for both of us. (I am not leaning to the Pedalmax solution.)

Would you say the symptom is similar to regular auto sedans? I.e. that the car hesitates while it figures out downshifting, throttle response, and driver intention? It could be engine over-management, such as having learned your driving personality.

Ive never seen this issue before in my past autos. I considered the possibility of learning my driving habits, but the 13 is driven the same way and no issues. Will be interesting. But i guarantee this, Ford will say it is because of my minor mods.

UPDATE...... Well they cant find anything. Car is running as it should be. Was hoping they'd find something. Only positive is that they didnt try to blame it on the CAI or catback.
