hey guys had a spare mbrp street catback lying around and was thinking of replacing the mufflers with something louder. any recommendations as to what would provide a deeper old school muscle car tone?

Magnaflows have that deep sound. I've got the axle-backs on mine and love them. Also, if you want to keep the deep sound, don't delete the resonator.

Chambered mufflers are the ones that give you the raspy sound, think Flowmaster. Magnaflows are packed rather than chambered.

Nothing is going to give you the old school sound on the coyote. Those that try create drone. The deepest exhausts that don't drone are AWE, Krona and Borla S-type.

I have Magnaflow 3" Street series catbacks with x-pipe #19100 and there is NO drone at any speed and they probably sound as close to old school muscle as you can get on a Coyote. They have a deep rumble on my car, not too loud but you can definitely hear them and then they come alive when I get on it.

Sounds very different than the others, no rasp. I get compliments everywhere.
Bought them as temporary waiting on Corsa but they sound so good I decided to keep.

Sound is a personal choice I would suggest finding some to hear.

i think street mufflers are a bit too quiet for my taste. armykyle1 do you know the part number for your mufflers? that sounds about right as far as what im looking for.

Magnaflow sounds nice and deep, but drones like crazy. AWE is not as deep sounding as the magnaflow but I think it is the best sounding muffler for the Coyote.

The magnaflow is not going to be louder. The AWE Switchpath (on loud mode) or the Track version will be louder and will sound a lot nicer than the MBRP. I have first hand experience with these three mufflers and the AWE is by far the best.

fcarpio a magnaflow straight through muffler will most definately be louder hen the current mbrp street. i only want to replace the canister on my current exhaust with somthing louder.

I'll second the ARH for being deep, drone free, and pretty much perfect volume.
