I was in another forum (not car related) and I was told that I can only get the FoMoCo battery as a replacement because of the Ford battery management system in the car. Is this the case? That sounds weird. Anyway, if that is not the case, which is a high quality battery I can get for the S550...
Day two of the Blowfish bracket, crazy vibration from the shift knob. Any one else experienced this? Were you able to fix it? I don't think replacing the knob would work as it seems to be coming from the reverse lever.
I have the NT555 G2s at 35 to 36 psi hot and they don't hook at all on 2nd. What psi cold do you have? 28? your Whipple is most likely making more hp that my Roush (dynoed at 640 - 650). I think there is a chance I may benefit from the gears but I may benefit more from the BMR suspension mods...
OK, so I got the blowfish bracket installed and the feeling of the shifting has completely changed for the better. Shifting is more "sure" and there is some added vibration as mentioned before, so the car feels better. During normal driving the vibration is negligible but you can feel it more...

Thanks for the post mindys. I am definitely experiencing the third gear lockout and it is driving me bonkers. I am going to start with the Blowfish bracket and maybe the Sychroshift fluid as well. That should be good enough for my needs.
