Deep Sleep Mode?

I just found out that my Mustang may(?) have 'Deep Sleep Mode'. Does DSM shut down all battery draining functions?
I put my convertible into winter storage and have to use a battery minder to prevent the battery from completely discharging while it sits for several months.
How completely does it shut down battery usage? How is it activated and shut off?

Hmm, don't know there is one, didn't see anything mentioned in the owner's manual online. Out of curiosity, what did you observe to make you think there is such a mode?

I am not aware of any such mode, at least for 2015. I'd still want a battery tender on it to prevent sulfation.

After years of storing cars, jet ski's, snowmobiles, and motorcycles I can tell you the battery's do in fact last longer with a trickle vs being disconnected.

The FordPass App under Guides/Deep Sleep Mode

Deep Sleep Mode is designed to conserve battery power on your vehicle. This setting is activated when your vehicle falls under the following conditions.

Vehicle inactivity for 14 consecutive days.
The battery voltage drops below 9.5 volts.
Extremely cold weather conditions.

If your vehicle goes into Deep Sleep Mode, in order to "wake it back up" your vehicle must be started manually.

Wow, you'd figure they'd use it before you dropped down to 9.5 volts.... that's a bit low for my liking.

I believe what they mean is extremely cold weather conditions on an older battery can cause a severe drop in stored voltage. If you have a vom you can cbeck the voltage before trying to start on those very cold days.

I don't think you'd know it has occurred or not if you haven't set up your FordPass....

Never thought I would be saying this but my gt350 won’t awake from “deep sleep mode” disconnected the battery, had the battery “charging for about a week” the lights go on and off every few seconds interior speaker sound like a drum beating... terrific ... didn’t try jumping it.... only have 50 miles on it from the drive home, due to construction, didn’t have electric to start the vehicle or keep the battery on a tender so now I’m dealing with this... the app is useless just says start manually.... anyone ever encounter an issue like this?

Did you test the battery with a voltmeter after charging it?

We had a few snow storms last month so my car sat for 2+ weeks. When I finally started it up, it said it was put into some sort of energy saving mode. I can't remember the exact wording but it was the first time I've ever seen a notification like that. It started up without any issues.
