My decklid is scratched up would it be cheaper to have it repainted gloss black or just get one off American muscle for 100$?

Decklid or lid panel?
Panel, that's the only thing you're replacing from AM for $100.

Definitley agree with @Schwerin though, replace and wrap it with paint protection film before installing. Only way to keep it from getting those swirls like that in the future.

Just replaced mine with one from Accelatec, which seems to be less prone to scratches. It's gloss black and smooth without the emblem.

We make one that you might want to check out. It's the same panel that comes on the Shelby GT, minus the emblem. :)

That looks really nice, especially with it not just being “flat”. I’m trying to imagine that same piece with the original Mustang Tri-bar Pony in the center...

I just added the Drake decklid to mine. I like it.

How was overall install and alignment of the panel? How does it stand up to wipe downs compared to the stocker, does it scratch easily?

Only just put it on, so time will tell with regards to scratching. Can’t imagine it being any better or worse than the stock plastics.

Fitment was great, all lined up nicely with the tail lights and trunk gaps are good.

I would buy again.
