If your panel has swirls I'd hate to see your paint. Why not spent the time to learn how to take care of your car?
Being awfully snooty aren't we? The black panel is far more susceptible to scratches than the actual paint of the car.

It's like those piano black plastic trims they have on some a-pillars and interiors. No matter what you do eventually it will get hairline swirls.

I have had a Drake panel on my 2020 for two years. After repeated waxing's and being cleaned with a California car duster, there are no scratches on the panel. I happen to like the design of the panel and you can't really put an emblem on it. Granted, my car doesn't see rain or snow but it is driven as I have 27,000 miles on the car. The factory panel's finish is garbage.

It will scratch just like the factory one LOL (sorry couldn’t resist). I like the blank decklid panel, had it on my 2016. Contemplating doing on my current one also
Well, previous owner of my car removed all the GT/CS badging (grrr...) and not only turned the panel on the car into a swirlfest but also somehow cracked the heck out of it along the edges in what I can only imagine was an attempt to remove it by force.

I bet they didn’t realize there’s screws holding it in as well. Either that or they tried prying it off with a sledgehammer. It is kind of a pain to get started but once you get it going it pops off fairly easily

Oh, as I'm going through this car that was the minor messup... They welded slip-on adapters to the exhaust and put Eibach Sportlines on the car with the shocks and struts that it left the factory with. :like:

My paint doesn’t swirl when I spray quick detailer onto a panel covered lightly in pollen and wipe it gently with a microfiber. My decklid did. It’s just shitty paint.
It’s a soft plastic. I replaced mine to delete the GT logo (and it started to swirl even though I always use a microfiber cloth).

The replacement panel is the same soft plastic. It’s been a few years but it’s starting to show light swirls.

I’ll probably PPF it, wrap it or replace it with a CF unit

I spent money on a carbon fiber panel.

Glossy but dirty carbon fire option

Both of these options look great! What brand and is it a whole panel replacement or a stick on panel with double stick?

Im trying to find some CF rear light bezels too. Any help would be appreciated as my search has come up short. TIA

Mine's a full CF panel. 90% certain Anderson Composites but may be Ford Performance, as the distributor sells both. Purchased when my OEM pony 'bolted' from its panel, leaving ugly holes.

The drake one will crack eventually like the others. Mine has.

Greetings! I've noticed that the little panel with the gt emblem on my car has gotten swirls like crazy, and cracks where the badge goes through. I'm interested in keeping somewhat stock appearing, but want something that is going to be a bit more durable.

I've seen a matte plastic one, I've seen ford performance version that is basically a badge delete, and several carbon fiber options. Honestly what I think would be best would be a carbon fiber piece that isn't high gloss (like some aerospace grade carbon fiber panels I've seen... that incidentally look nothing like what most people put on their cars), or MAYBE the flatblack plastic if it didnt fade and require a ton of maint. I'd want stock badges in it (but I imagine I could drill holes if necessary)

I guess worst case scenario I'll buy oem replacement, I just hate how easily that plastic swirls up and cracks (my car is a garage queen)
Have a vinyl wrap shop wrap it in carbon .

I bought a MMR flat black panel for mine. No problems.
