How do I get to DORA, is it different than COTUS?

You receive the DORA from your sales person - it basically lists your order number, dealership ID, and all the options you selected for your vehicle. I was able to stop by the dealer the day after I ordered to pick mine up. If you already have a VIN, then your dealer should have no problem providing you with a DORA.

I talked to my dealer this morning, he told me what Rachel already told me and said right now my build date is 2/16 with it arriving at my northern Michigan dealership at the beginning of March

Are you folks who ordered early January getting the build date on COTUS? I ordered 1/2 and got my VIN but no estimated build yet. Order priority 19. I messaged Rachel here, but no response yet.
I got my build date from my dealer, COTUS moved to in production on that day.

In going through the COTUS process slowly, I never received a build date after getting my VIN. Nothing ever populated about a build date, but I just received an estimated delivery date under my VIN when I was about 5-6 days away from my build week.

Hmm we ordered the same day and yours is one week further back.
I wonder if when your car was ordered, your dealer had more of their allocated number of Mustangs* for the quarter not yet ordered? I'm guessing there is a formula that spreads their allocation over the quarter. So when each of our respective dealers place our orders (I don't know if mine being a convertible had an effect), they each received that dealers next available slot. Now how priority code fits into this, I can't fathom a guess. Anyone have any info on how this works?

Aaaleck,
Ask your dealer what your priority code is and what their allocation is for the quarter? My dealer did not say what his 17 allocation was for.* All Mustang models? Just convertibles? Ask if they get separate allocation by GT, EB and V6??

Order:
DIB Ecoboost w/ 201A
Dark Saddle
Enhanced Sec Package
Reverse Park Assist.

DORA Priority Code: 10 Which Is weird because I've read on here that DORA Codes for X-plan is usually 19.

"Ordered 1/14/2015
VIN:1/15/2015
Build Date:1/20/2015
EDD:2/13/2015"
Holy Crap, Batman. Your EB got a build date in less than a week after your order!!! Unless you ordered from the largst volume Ford dealer in the entire universe, I'd bet Ford is scheduling uncommitted EB's (to stock or customer orders) in the production schedule because they want THOSE out there first to spur their popularity! Then when an order is placed, they assign that car/specs to that order.

I wonder if Rachel would be willing to comment on this? Or explain the order process and how things like dealer allocation, Priority code, order date and specific engine and options may affect the build date and a car's priority to get put on a transport after done? :D

Lucky dude. Good for you! We ordered same day, 1/5, you got one week sooner build and your shipping time will be two weeks less than mine due to you being in MIchigan and mine going by train to the West coast.

I congratulate you, sir! :hail:

So are our initial build dates always quoted as a Monday and really mean they are scheduled to be built "the week of 'X' "

And is the EDD the etstim. date for it to be received at the dealer? (not shipped)

I think your right, I've seen a lot of EB orders scheduled faster then GT's. My dealer is probably moderate in size/volume.

Yes, I would think EDD is when it is estimated to be delivered to the dealer for pickup after they prep it. COTUS will show you when it is awaiting shipment after it has completed production of the vehicle.
