I took the car in for an oil change today. I informed the Service Manager to use 5w-50 full synthetic. He verified they had it in stock and wrote on the paperwork to install 5w-50. Car get done and tech brings it out. SM hands me the bill for $60. I Checked the ticket and yep 10 quarts of 5w-20. I asked him to let me talk to the tech. I asked the tech if he noticed the Supercharger and he said ahhhh. I then asked him if he couldn't read the oil cap that is printed with 5w-50 and he said ahhhh. I then asked him if he couldn't read the 3x5 card taped to the steering wheel and he said the one smart thing of the day.....ahhh I didn't drive the car into the bay.

The same tech is told to change the oil again. I catch him coming from the parts department with the oil. I stop him and ask where the new filter is and he gives me a weird look. I simply stated, Im pretty sure the one on the car is filled with the 5w-20 oil.

I told my wife the story and she asked how many curse words I used as I stood there watching him redo the oil change until they asked me to leave the bay. I actually didn't course at all, but dang I almost did.

Anyway three hour oil change and all is good. I'll check it for leaks tonight.

If it wasn't for having 178,000 Ford Reward Points to use, I would have changed it myself.

Went in for a warranty claim and Had a shop manager tell me my 5.0 badge came loose cause I was probably drag racing. I shit you not. I said thanks for your time and went to another dealership because they use to be a SVT dealer and now they're cert roush dealer. Told him about the other guy, he laughed and installed 2 brand new badges cause 'they now match' and let me keep the old one. Then they washed and detailed my car for free. When they do the rare oil change for me (cause I might be to lazy or whatev that day), they itemize everything & use the oil I give them, and let me watch & shoot the shit. Now that's customer service!

In hindsight, you should have watched them the first time. Of course who would think that they would do something that stupid in the first place.

Expecting underpaid high school dropouts to care about your car more than you was your first mistake. I've never had anyone change my oil except in a beater so I have no experience with these people. YMMV Let us know how the next one goes if they are still in business this fall.

Mistakes do happen, BUT if it's marked on the paperwork to use the 5W-50 full synthetic and obviously it's on the oil cap, that's just a dumb dumb move.

I would have, but they have a sign no customers allowed in the service bay...thus their asking me to leave the service bay once somebody looked out and saw me....told me how their insurance wouldn't cover if I got hurt. I could have thought of a lot of things to say but I didn't and the guy that escorted me out, actually started talking about how he can't wait until they get a GT500 in to service.

In hindsight, you should have watched them the first time. Of course who would think that they would do something that stupid in the first place.
