Hot off the press. Thanks again B!

Funny thing is I just spent time under the car taking a close look at my own lines. Visual inspection shows both lines are slightly cocked, something every GT500 will suffer from. Anyway, I took some field dimensions and sketched the relevant area just in case a fix is in order.

There is tension at the crimped on flanges as the orientation when swaged isn't where it should be.

Anyway, I have the numbers needed for a potential future project.;)

Oooh, Lucky Charms.

So are the dimples in the tab intended to sort of dig into the case and stake it when the bolt is tightened? I'm assuming they are stamped/formed such that up/down orientation doesn't matter when the line is assembled.

(and by the look of it, the axial alignment tolerance must be big enough to drive a truck through)

Yes and yes. Same conclusions from what I see.

No wonder they leak. I think they need new assembly jigs at the line manufacturer.

Cantilevering that flange way out from the retention bolt's centerline is shit engineering, plain and simple.

SPE makes the fix for this, very easy to install.

Honestly not a fan of swapping the factory seal for much smaller o-rings. SPE's fittings don't stop the line from cocking from what their own YouTube video shows either. Anyone see reviews on them?
