I sure hope this is covered under the initial warranty!!

It is definitely covered under warranty. The bubbling is a defect of the material. I don't have $5k to do this out of my own pocket.

That is INSANE that those aren't separate pieces attached to the dash panel itself.

Wow.....

I thought that too!! But they said they had to disassemble the entire dash to do it, and now I know why.

Just updating this. I dropped the car off to get the dash repaired, as well as the brake TSB and my intercooler pipes (i think they're loose).

Ill update everyone when i get the car back.
Glad to see things are getting taken care of! Take advantage of the F-150 while you have it. Let me know if you need anything. :)

Please post pics and describe the results after they reinstall the dashboard. Whoever the employee is that is working on that...he must not be afraid of anything. He probably is crazy.

I too have some VERY small bubbles, puckers really in EXACTLY the same spot. Not very noticeable but will most certainly keep an eye on them. Mine almost looks like they are associated with the redline stitching, but hard to tell.

Jeff

Thank you Jeff. I actually switched it out for a Focus, that F150 was way too big for me for my daily use.

Spoke with my advisor yesterday, said they are still working on it and they want to take thier time to do it right the first time so that they don't have to do it again. She said they want to get my car back to me before the weekend so hopefully tomorrow at the latest. When I get it back I'll snap some pics for everyone and give my impressions of the fit and finish now since I literally had 75% of my interior disassembled.

I can understand that. I'd feel the same way.

Well got the car back today. And I'm not happy. Here's why:

Deep scratches on the trim panel, and it's hard to see on the second picture, but there's a light scratch there too. Also, while removing the dash, there was a bolt sticking out on the side, and while the door was open, the wind blew the door closed and the bolt hit the inside of the door. It's not noticeable from far, but once you get in close you can see. No paint was taken off, but still, I want it fixed.

The service manager was receptive, and owned up to the techs mistake. I even thanked the tech for doing a great job on installing the dash before noticing that damage.

Yes, I'm upset, but it's no sense getting wildly pissed at this because I don't wanna ruin the relationship I've built with this dealer over the last 4 years. And, getting pissed in Hawaii over something like this, you'll be shown the door, as business is not conducted like this, even if the business is at fault. That just the laid back nature in Hawaii, love it or hate it ( I hate it at times)

Overall, the tech did a good job, despite those issues. Drove over some real rough road out of the dealer, did not hear any out of the ordinary rattles (except for the headlight switch and a rattle in the center I've heard since day 1, don't expect that to go away). Yes, the tech screwed up, but overall, for tackling such a big job like this, he did a great job. Told me he's replaced many dashboards before, but this is the first 2015 Mustang he's done.

FordService, I'd like you to monitor the thread please.

Also, the trim piece has been ordered. Does anyone know if the gauges for the PP come with that trim piece?

I have the same bubble in the same place. They took pictures last Friday, a week ago. I have not heard back yet. How long did it take to get your answer?

I was notified the day after I took it in to have them take pictures that it would be replaced under warranty.

Bumping this up because it seems a few other members are having this issue.

It seems that there is an issue with the glue that was used to glue down the material to the foam backing or whatever on the dashpad. If left alone, who knows where the other bubbles may come up next.

This is not an easy job, this will take the dealer days to fix, and hope that they don't screw anything up in the process (like my trim piece and the door), but if you want it done be prepared to worry and not have a car for the week.

Now, if only we can narrow it down to build dates. Mine was a mid November 2014 build.

Anyone else?
