Dash Cam Location

I was gifted with a Rexing V1P-4K : https://www.rexingusa.com/product/rexing-v1p/ I was also given the hard wire kit.

The question is, where to mount it ? Next to the mirror, left or right side. Or, upper or lower left corner of the windshield ?

Those that have a dash cam, where is yours mounted ?

Centerline of the windshield, mounted on the S&S package cover. Takes a bit longer to get the GPS signals locked, but gives a more even view of the road ahead than having it offset.

Mine is directly behind the mirror. Alittle towards the passenger side so the lens instelf is smack in the middle of the car . Same with my rear cam. Up on the very top of the windshield smack in the middle.

ive got a small dash cam hard wired into the mirror and have attached the cam to the windshield right behind the mirror on the passenger side. i cant see it while driving and gives a pretty good picture.

I have that same dash cam. Nice camera.
Like mentioned above I mounted it behind the mirror towards the passenger side. Fits right in there nicely

How do those wire into the mirror? Pretty easy install?

I bought a wiring kit that plugs into OBD2 port, so all I had to do was tuck in wire into the crack between the windshield and headline. Cut pieces of sticky sponge material here and there to get it tucked in.

Today at 11:30 the hard wire kit gets installed at Best buy. This one is n/c. The geek squad mgr is going to supervise this time.

Mines dead center under the rear view mirror. Fronts a 2 way and I have a rear. Gets everything in view perfectly.

Gotta tell you, if you look up "cognitive dissonance" in the dictionary, you couldn't do better than a surgical mask next to a "No Step Snek" patch.

That Patch is actually called the Navy Jack, with Don't Thread on Me, worn by all active duty Navy. I thought it was cool for Navy to make it their patch.
