I was running a GoPro attached to my passenger seat head rest using an MMR bracket. I was nearly rear needed the other day by some idiot TJ plate driving moron. I was at a stop light; for some reason I happened to look up and saw him coming up behind me too fast. I saw him looking down, I assumed he was texting or looking at his phone. I ran the stop light as he locked up his brakes. I blew through the red light, and avoid being side swiped by of another truck. The car right behind the truck who nearly side swiped me was a cop. He lights me up. As I'm explaining to the cop what happened. The idiot in the truck drives through the intersection. The cop was a traffic cop. Lucky for me as the truck drove by the cop smelt the burnt rubber from him locking it up. Because I ran the light the idiot in the truck had enough space to stop at the light. I was lucky the cop had a good head on his shoulders. He commented, “Too bad the GoPro wasn’t facing the rear.”
So it got me thinking. I went home and researched front and rear dash cams. I discovered and purchased the K1S2 front and rear dash cams.
Sorry for the rant, but all this for my question; has anyone installed a rear facing dash cam? If so how did you run the wires to the front of the car? Any pics would be really helpful. I'm one of those guys that has to see it to understand it. I've never been accused of being very smart. Might have been all those blue crayons I ate when I was a kid…
