I know there has been a ton of these threads already, but I still want to try to get everyone's opinions. I'm looking for a dash cam that will be able to do it all for me and I have a list of requirements I want to have.
1. Front and rear facing camera system
2. I park in a parking garage so if someone opens there door and hits my car I want to be able to see who it was or if someone backs into my car so I need some kind of impact sensors.
3. This is why I mentioned a 360 camera because I want something that will also monitor as wide of an angle as possible and see if someone hits my cars door.
4. As clear of a system as possible say someone clips my car and tries to run I want to be able to get there liscense plate on camera
5. Maybe monitor the inside so I know what the ford techs do when they get in my car in case my seats ever come back stained or anything like that
6. Removal or low profile so I don't create an even bigger problem having someone steal it
7. Easy to wire maybe just tap into the interior fuse box and not have it drain the battery.
I was gonna buy the system when I bought the car and so far I have been fortunate enough not to need it since I'm careful of where I park and make sure that I park in a corner where there is no reason for a car to back into mine or where the drivers side door of the other car isn't opening towards mine. It seems that people are getting more and more irresponsible now a days though and I hear about hit and runs multiple times a day so rather than having to pay out of pocket or go through insurance and have my insurance go up if anything should happen.
