Didnt see nothing drastic myself...
Lane-splitting at speed in this age of phones, texting, and who knows what other distractions . . . what could possibly go wrong?

I used to ride.

Yeah, lane splitting is legal in many states. Of course, nothing could ever go wrong. I like how you were able to show front and rear from your dash cam at the same time.

Notice my speed at the bottom (82 mph). Guessing at 30 mph or so faster than me has them lane splitting at something north of 115 mph. That's likely understating the speed if you count how many lane marks (10' per mark plus 20' gap) he's gaining on me per second.

Foolishness combined with confidence. Makes for interesting events.

But, the bike riders , blame all wrecks on "cage drivers"
A guy in a bike last week, ran down the double yellow line passing stopped traffic, and a car was turning left and had no reason to think anything would be coming up behind him on his left side, turned and biker t boned the car, then got all thin the car drivers face about it. Biker over the double yellow, or on it. passing stopped traffic on a single lane road( one lane in each direction). and was blaming the car driver and going to knock the guys teeth in.
Lane splitting is another thing, legal or not, is a bad idea.
9 times out of 10, those doing that are doing it at well over the speed limit, now I am not one to say, don't speed, but come on, flying pass 2 vehicles on the highway lane splitting, at 20 mph or more faster than the flow of traffic, is asking to get road rash or worse.
Worse part is then if they think you closed the gap between the other car, they knock your side mirror off, then run, speed away.
I wish motorbike tags were changed to be as big as the tags on "caged" vehicles, so when they pull that stunt, their tags numbers are able to be seen on the dash cams.
Vehicle drivers are not saints, but motorbike riders have gotten the we own the road mindset in the last decade, not all, but more than a few.
And it needs to stop.

We're practicing for the coming Mad Max scenario. Just stick your cane out the window as they go by.

As a former rider (Ninja 650R), I gotta say that I don't know how these guys stay alive. I was MUCH more conservative and safety-conscious when riding, and I lost count of how many people nearly wiped me out due to sheer negligence. When you add this kind of speed and maneuvering to the mix, I can't see how your expect to live (or remain in a non-vegetative state) for very long.

I sold it because I became convinced that something was going to happen that would put me in a wheelchair, which for me, would be far worse than death. Riding is great fun, but not fun enough. I guess some folks feel invincible with that engine thrumming between their legs....or they have no sense of self-preservation.

All I see in that video is someone in the left lane that needs to move over. So faster moving traffic doesn’t have to pass on the right!
