Man, I knew I shouldn't have checked in with the forum today!!! My car is sitting at the dealer waiting to be transported back to Michigan next week and I had the owner go over my car carefully and got these pics back right away. He's a standup guy and he put a call into his "best" body guy. Kinda scary since I can't "see" the car. Not very good Ford!

Man this is terrible. Glad though that you can get it dealt with before taking delivery. Iā€™m dealing with my dealership on some of my issues as well. Good luck.

I checked my calipers and some have a couple of dings. Probably from mounting those huge rims. Stuff happens.
Since I'm going to track my car, they will get pretty beat up soon enough.

FFS. So much for these getting any better QC than a base Ecoboost....

Don't look too close, or you might see grind marks under your paint. Don't ask how I know.

Drive it, chip it up, enjoy it.

I do have the same scuff on my paddle shifter. A little light rubbing compound, and is all but gone.Other than that the car, to me, is perfect! If I got a chip in my caliper itā€™s definitely covered in break dust by now. Lol
I clean the car religiously but just to get it back on the road again. I definitely donā€™t think Iā€™d have anyone paint my new car unless itā€™s absolutely necessary.

Not sharing misery.....It was actually the owner of the dealership that took the pictures and circled the areas and sent them to me. That tells you what a great guy he is!!! Not worried about chipped calipers or scuffs however a bit concerned about a couple dimple/dents from the factory. His detail guy said it looked like someone at the factory tried to fix one of them and did a crappy job. I've wrapped 2 of my Porsche GT3's but not this one......just gonna drive it like I stole it and not worry about it.

Detailer has been working on mine fixing to do some graphene coating. He said the body is pretty solid on mine at least. I can understand some of the folks arenā€™t concerned with some of these cosmetic issues and thatā€™s cool but to me when I have worked my ass off to pay for this car and the amount of money I spent on it that it bothers me for the lack of attention to these issues from Ford is not good. Makes me wonder what else was half assed done. Regardless I love the car and very happy to have it. In the end Iā€™m just trying to take care of my investment.

Wait - what??
And if they are composite, how do they ding?
So imho it wasn't banged, or dinged, this was either done in assembly or straight from the mold before it was painted.

Mine are the same. Wouldnā€™t sweat it.
I wouldn't sweat the chipped calipers, I would touch them up as close to the color as possible and not worry about it, but to live with dings in the body? Nope, that unacceptable and will be fixed.
