Mine is at the PPF shop getting paint correction and Xpel installed. He found 3 dings on the passenger front fender. They can't be pushed or pulled out by paintless ding repair because the fenders are composite. Ford is paying for the fender to be repaired and blended into the door with new side stripes.

Wonder if the ones with CFTP and painted stripes are any cleaner since they go through Penske.

I am surprised people are accepting deliveries of these cars. I am sure the dealer will screw other stuff up while trying to fix the repairs. Having to paint a new gt500 is ridiculous!

There's a second chip but didn't get that picture. I have a few issues I'm having Ford take care of. My I have an eye I can see everything.

So yours has a place on the left paddle shifter as well mine does too. What are they doing about that?

Jason and Simon: I don't believe in coincidence and the odds of you both having the same marks on the same paddle are astronomical unless there's a common thread. I figure there pretty much has to be one of those somewhere at the FRAP. Clearly, they should be replaced and hopefully, you have a good dealership as well and it's get done as soon as the part comes in.

The chips on brake calipers happen all the time. It occurs almost every time the wheels are removed and install. I always lay shop rags over my calipers when I remove or reinstall my wheels. I even make sure the guys at the tire shop use shop rags when reinstalling them . The only time I forgot to do this was when ford did my free oil change and they rotated the tires without me knowing it. And yes they chipped them, both right side calipers. They let the wheels rest on the top of the calipers and many time the spokes make contact on the outer surface. Remember no one takes care of your car better then you. So no more tire rotations.

It just doesn’t sit well with me that Ford doesn’t have better quality control than this. I can’t believe these cars are being shipped like this. I’m going to change the title to this thread.

It would be interesting to see if anyone else has the same dents in the same place. If that were the case, it may have been a problem with the mold or die.

Prob is that Its a mustang and its birth process is really np different than the cheapest version.

Look at transportation.. euro cars typically get enclosed or at least wrapped during transport. Not mustang.

Unless its a FGT, its BAU for us...

This goes back to the question of if Ford can delivery $100k quality expectations on an assembly line car ranging anywhere from $30k-$120k. I would be just as disappointed as these owners, but not at the same time not surprised.

Also, watch the 2020 Green Hornet assembly video. That guy paid $1.1M for the car and the workers are still just slamming seats and taillights in with their DGAF attitude...

Man, I knew I shouldn't have checked in with the forum today!!! My car is sitting at the dealer waiting to be transported back to Michigan next week and I had the owner go over my car carefully and got these pics back right away. He's a standup guy and he put a call into his "best" body guy. Kinda scary since I can't "see" the car. Not very good Ford!
