It's just paint. I've seen this on every new R I've bought from one degree to another. It's almost like the calipers sit around in a parts bin and get rattled around.Asking you guys on what I should do here. My detailer is working on my car and he noticed some paint missing from the calipers he thinks was damaged from factory. I’ve sent this to my ford dealership and haven’t hear back yet.
Thanks for responding that is what I thought to do as well but trying to find something to match it may be difficult. It's just paint. I've seen this on every new R I've bought from one degree to another. It's almost like the calipers sit around in a parts bin and get rattled around.
The problem is finding a matching paint. I bought a can of spray paint (specifically for brake calipers) and I recall it is quite expensive. The color wasn't a perfect match either.
As far as I know, brembo (or anyone else for that matter) doesn't make a touch-up paint for this purpose.
This isnt the first time this has happened. As far as I know (without having custom paint matched), you will not find a perfect touch up.Thanks for responding that is what I thought to do as well but trying to find something to match it may be difficult.
Yes, but the color wont be a perfect matchVHT red caliper paint I think.
There's a second chip but didn't get that picture. I have a few issues I'm having Ford take care of. My I have an eye I can see everything.Dude that is where mine is at, driver side rear!
no ideaWow. The runs on the fender are terrible. How the heck does that get by QC?
Nope. I understand it's not a Ferrari it's a Ford but that shouldn't have passes QC. I'm a patient man now that I'm in my 40's and I have great dealer that will correct it. God willing perfectSimon: PLEASE tell me it's just the lighting, those can't be RUNS! <fingers crossed>
