Sounds like you got a stock vehicle, consumers are supposed to get retail orders to help avoid these problems.
I ordered mine in July and am not scheduled delivery until December due to the commodities issue on the V6. The dealer gave me the option of stock or retail and laid out the pitfalls that could happen to stock vehicles, especially when a new generation/body comes along. My only solace is reading about all the early deliveries having troubles (unfortunate of course) and I will hopefully not have those issues.

Yah, I tell myself that over and over. I guess I've just reached my limit. I understand it's not late "yet" but this whole process has sucked and I am just worried I will be let down once again.

I can't vent to my wife anymore so just wanted to reach ou to you guys. Thanks for listening

Agree, it's been a terrible launch. I'm about ready to sell my Ford stock. I'm so frustrated with Ford and particular my Dealership for lack of communication.
Cancel your order or don't take delivery of the car and sell your stock....easy solution since you're butt hurt:doh:

If I was in your position, I would cancel my order and see what they have for 2016 because doesn't make sense to me to buy now and store it til April.

Sparked because J felt like venting....turns into burning :ford: on a stake. I'll buy your stock, just because you don't deserve to own it.

Yeah, sell your Ford stock, they still made 1.2 Billion Dollars profit after Ford executive warned that profits would be lower this year as the automaker has a record 23 global launches this year with 16 in North America.

Yes, the Mustang launch has been a little slow, but by December when dealers have cars in stock and they start some ad buys the next quarter should see nice sale and Mustang Job 2 will go a little smoother. Remember this a completely new car except for 2 of the 3 engines. Would you rather have a POS that needs to be fixed at the dealer, or a good one put together at the factory?

This is why I have always planned on buying mine in the second year, sometime around next Labor Day. I'm also hoping that my waiting means I can get the PP in a GT automatic.

This!!! Exactly why my dealer didn't not put in any of his 7 retail orders as stock orders.
Agreed..... too many were or are greedy to get their very first mustang before everyone.... well, it looks like the tides have changed where many retail orders are coming in before the stock... the intention of the stock orders going through first was to help improve the manufacturing and build process so basically what many have bought and had dibs on were a load of guinea pigs... I am glad I waited it out... sure it took a very long time but I would rather had one that the process was improved rather just getting started.... second time ordering from Ford and once from Audi with 2, the TT and the mustang as first year production for an all new model. Thank goodness I live in the south... past the Red river is already too far north even though i am in the far north DFW area... we get our fair share of ice and snow here. You can't blame Ford for saying fall is when the mustang becomes available because they have met their goal..... not your own. With those who live way up north where it is known to get snow even in the late October and november months....that's your own fault for having or making your own expectation of when you will get your car. It was known well in advance of what Ford had scheduled in building the new Mustang .... before the order banks were open. If it's anyone to blame is yourself and your dealer for giving you false expectations. Smaller dealers are no help either but at least I got one from a reasonable dealer even if the communication wasn't there...COTUS was. Which also seems to make the wait even more gruesome

Let me just say a couple of things.

Mine IS a retail order. I chose retail and my dealer suggested retail. I had no expectations. My ideas came from what was happening before my eyes not what someone was telling me.

Did I say I expected to get my car on "this" day? No I did not.

So, it's not ok for someone to feel deflated? Well excuse F'n me for feeling this way.

Man I miss the inception days of this forum when people actually gave a fuck

Really? We don't care because we don't agree with your rant? That seems a bit childish, doesn't it?
