Customizing Weathertech Mats

Question --

Has anyone removed the weathertech vinyl sticker from the mats and replaced them with something more Pony-inspired?

I've seen some people do it for other brands and was curious if anyone gave their mats some extra detail.

Why not contact the guy making the custom start button decals? In fact I think there are two different guys making and selling their own.

The logo will hardly stick to the mat, the biggest issue is the material is super slick, 3M auto trim adhesive doesn't even really stick to it.

sand it down, air dust it off, and buff off any lingering pieces. Should be textured enough for anything to stick to it then.

I won't be able to for another month when my ride comes. If someone else has a quick minute to do so that would be appreciated.

I used aircraft adhesive on my old sis mats. Never came off again.

I measured decal bed on my WT mats, as I'm interested as well. The driver side sticker eventually came off, so I peeled the passenger side and tossed them both a few months ago.

Width of the decal bed is is 1 and 5/16 inches. Length is just a hair shy of 4 and 3/4 inches. IRCC, there was about an 1/8" gap between the edge of the decal and the walls of the decal bed.

Depth of the bed (guessing) is somewhere in the 3/16 to 1/4 inch range.

Diode dynamics makes inserts for weathertechs for wrx and stis i dont see why they wouldn't do it for us if enough wanted them. I actually have there inserts in my wrx and they dress it nicely
