I know pricing varies a lot, but is there a general consensus on the actual selling price vs MSRP? Considering a Mach 1 now, and the dealer is not willing to come off the MSRP.

I started shopping summer last year, after 6 months of nothing but marked up cars I tried to put an order in at MSRP, none of my local dealers (central Florida) would play ball. Eventually I came here out of desperation and found Granger doing 2% off invoice, order in February and I’m sitting in an airport lounge on my layover to pickup the car tomorrow as I type this. If you’re willing to wait I’d say order, if not - dealers have been coming back to sanity … the ones around me are finally entertaining MSRP on in-stock cars. Good luck.

I bought from granger, and towed it back to Louisiana.

A general one, no. So many variables go into pricing, the biggest probably being what's going on in your area.

Making matters worse, huge swaths of FL have now been destroyed. Countless buyers just became available to purchase anything with wheels.

You'll have to beat the bushes. Granger is a great option; they have good prices and are well-respected. Do the math and see if it's worthwhile to order/buy and drive or ship back. Also, consider cold-calling some locations in more rural areas; they might have good/fair pricing relative to the places you've checked with thus far.

I just recently placed an order locally at MSRP, but Granger and Ourisman have that deal beat hands down.

I'm going to give my local guy a chance to match Grangers pricing, then I will go from there.

Many dealers are dropping the ADM on in stock 2022's.

MSRP is basically a good deal for any Ford right now.

Not terrible if you can get what you want and it happens to be in stock
A local deal would be that much sweeter

MSRP is NOT a good deal if you are ordering

Well first in california good luck finding one on lot.

Second if it is one lot it's due to a buyer backing out losing their deposit.

3rd they are still asked 2 to 12k over MSRP and don't seem willing to deal.

A middle of nowhere dealer in Gridley California is sitting on a 22 at 10k over msrp. As of a phone call this afternoon they won't deal over the phone but will have the best pricing in person

My local dealer has 2 Mach 1’s for MSRP. One is an A10 FJG with HP that was a custom order that someone backed out on. The other is a manual in Grabber Blue Metallic, non-HP (en-route from Flat Rock). He was asking $5k ADM earlier this year but anything that has come in since early summer has been listed at MSRP.

The problem is that right now, even with the market cooling slightly vs earlier this year and 2021, there's still such a supply shortage for M1s, I don't think these will ever become easy to get.. MSRP for a car sitting physically on a lot is a great deal right now.

If the dealer is insisting adm, ask if it can atleast be applied towards one of the dealers extended protection or service plans.

Msrp would be your best case scenario right now from a dealer that has this on the lot. Most are still asking ADM. Best deal is still to order one through granger and just wait. Im glad i did. 9 month wait but saved 7k off msrp.

Bought mine out of state for MSRP.

They were asking $2k ADM. It was the exact Mach 1 I wanted and supposedly only one of two for sale in the US as of that time (said to me by the first dealer that was sitting on $10k ADM and developed an attitude...) I simply was nice and asked if they'd waive the ADM if I paid cash and got it shipped down before the snow flew so they didn't have to deal with it.

They accepted MSRP and that's that. Couldn't be happier with how it all went down. A few overnight FedEx documents and some scanning - done. Definitely would buy from them again and just wild luck that it was exactly the build I wanted.

I've scanned what Ford dealers offer in Poland. You can find Mach 1s ready for pick up with 9 - 10% discount...
