A few weeks ago I was pulling my car into the garage after washing it and the combination of wet shoes and the rubber pad on the clutch petal caused my foot to slip off the clutch
Luckily enough the car stalled as I slammed the brakes but it could have been worse.
Warning- this is where function is more important than form so beware all purists !! I used a couple of small (1 inch wide) pieces of the grippy tape stuff you put on steps for traction For one dollar I fixed the issue and it’s actually much nicer to drive in stop and go traffic
You just cut a piece at the appropriate width and attach it over the rubber places on the pedal- this works great.
