So my car is in the process of being supercharged and the shop reused the stock bolt. Ive read mixed statements saying to replace or reuse. The shop says its ok to reuse. What is everyones thoughts. Im sure the car needs to be completely taken apart to fix this considering its about to be tuned.

Replace it. The stock bolt is torque to yield. Replacing it would be easy. Remove the old bolt and replace it with the new one and torque to spec

Good info. Didn't know this. I'll make sure to specify with the Ford dealer doing my Whipple install.

I would be concerned with a shop that doesn't know better to reuse a torque to yield bolt, especially the crank damper bolt. If that comes off you lose your timing and motor.:eyebulge:
