Omg pls I'm not here to argue with u or anyone. You always seem to reply with the same questions to ppl. I don't have time to type a story. I had to get those vaccines as a kid so I did. Covid one I'm not taking it. But I hope everyone that gets it is good. The End. Ok bye.
what on earth are you even talking about...

you are the one that came in arguing with my statement, stating something that i ALREADY SAID, and i corrected you. you then responded with something that didnt have anything to do with what i even said. im so confused. I never asked you for a story, relax. i couldnt care less if you are for or against vaccines. It was an observation based on your confusing responses to me

check out the take-rate in Chicago Med. Not so much. And that's just one of many that are refusing to take it.
Interesting if true. My little bubble of friends is small but I know it is. I'll have to check this out after work for sure. Currently I'm not trying to hurry up and get it. Waiting is one of my favorite options these days.

Active Duty has a choice as well. Just not all active duty.

not arguing with you, just putting the info out there since people seem curious.
Is it really though? Or is at the discretion of the commanders?

Find it hard to believe that it would be a choice. I don't know anybody thats still in but knowing how my unit was, it wouldn't be a choice. There was the Army standard and there was their standard.

I mean, technically it's still voluntary. It's either you volunteer or you go do a different job. It's not an FDA approved product, so I find it strange to think any branch of government could require it. Not doubting you, just making a statement.

I'm curious to know specifically what you're doing, but realize that's unlikely something you're able to share.

FWIW, I work at the largest academic medical center in the state. The vaccine is not required for any employee, nor is the flu shot even.
Why do you say that it is not FDA approved? In December, I thought that was the whole point of the vote that they did; to approve the vaccine. I remember it being a big deal with the commission or whatever it was.

And the interesting that you say that. Not familiar with the laws and regulations of hospital workers, and what the rules are in Kentucky (I'm assuming you live there) but my friend who works at a Hospital in California is required to get the shot and the flu shot. So that is interesting.

Could it be because Kentucky is a red state? Don't know just a guess. My friend does live in a red part of California though.

My school required the flu shot and the basic vaccines like measles before the pandemic. Pretty sure that they'll required the vaccine.

You wouldn't happen to be transferring to GA for that training?

I am in the military. I am training into a new specialty in a few months and those of us doing so are required to be vaccinated beforehand. We are also going to be locked down to the training location for the 6 months of training (unless things change).

In this particular instance, it has changed. Active military members are not "currently" forced to take the vaccine. Now there are jobs that if you want to stay in that particular job, then you will have to take it.

I knew this thread had the potential to have a lot of disagreement. I am waiting on a doctor to chime in soon :) oh wait, we don't need to hear from a doctor because our friend Bubba will tell us it is either safe or it is not.....and you know we don't question Bubba. :)

and those assertions are not REMOTELY proven. Read the 'efficacy' paper. It's so incredibly flimsy it's not funny. Every previous attempt at a corona virus vax has failed miserably. We tried it with cats and cattle.
Why do you say that they are not remotely proven? The efficacy papers indicated that they both had ~95% vaccine efficacy. The data is pretty solid so I don't really know what discrepancies you see.

Don't know about the full details from the last corona virus outbreak, the one from 2003, but the one of the problems was that the virus mutated pretty quickly leading to different strains, similar to what is happening now. It was effective for the strain the vaccine was for. They usually do drug trials on mice and monkeys, not on cats and cattle so if it doesn't work on them that doesn't mean it won't work on humans.
