Courtesy Delivery recommendations

I was wondering about this. Can the car be delivered directly to the courtesy dealer from
Ford or does it have to go via the out of state dealer I buy it from. I found a dealer that might be a good option in MO. There is a courtesy dealer about 6 miles from my house.

Yup, that's the benefit of Courtesy Delivery if you can coordinate that before the build is scheduled.

Yes, it goes directly from ford to your dealer nearby that you get approved by and have it set up with your purchasing dealer.

Yes, you can search and find experiences.

The cost is entirely up to the dealers you use and what they want to charge.

I 'hope' it does. I lucked out. The local dealer that I like that does not have an allocation available for me was very cooperative. He said he will work directly with the selling dealer in Colorado to get things.

In a note I sent to both of them, I put in bold text that I wanted the courtesy dealer to show up in the DORA. I don't know if this is possible, I am just trying to get it into the system as close to the order as possible. I am still waiting for the selling dealer to commit to put the order in. If I learn anything I will post it.

I just got my Preview Order from the deal erthat will be submitted to the order bank (thank you to the people that suggested I press the dealer to put the order in). I don't see where there is a place to put in the ship to dealer. I asked about this and was told by the new sales person that the ship to dealer can not be added to the Order so I expect it will not be in the DORA. She said it has to be pulled before the ship to dealer can be added.

Does anyone know if this is true?

Also they did not have my name in the Customer Name field and show the Type as Stock. I asked them to change it to retail and put my name in.

So, making progress. I should have a DORA in a day or so I hope.

I'm working on securing a 2017 R allocation (AGAIN) and looking into Courtesy Delivery options.

Does anyone in the SF Bay Area have a dealership they've 1) gotten that done at or 2) they've been happy with on their GT350/R prep and delivery?

Would like to hear your recommendations, I'm game to go North, East or South Bay for the right level of service.

Had ours courtesy delivered to Henry Curtis Ford in Petaluma, CA. The GM was very helpful, and most importantly, he did exactly as instructed. They did the PDI, and nothing else; no fuel fill-up, no driving, no wash or detail, no drilling plate holes front or rear, and left all transport materials on the vehicle (inside and out). Can't ask for more than a dealership that actually respects your wishes.
