Placed an order for a 2017 R last month and I just got a call just now that the local Rep told my dealership they are not getting any 2017 R allocations. Previously they had gotten a 2016 R and last month the Rep had had told them they were getting one.

Called Ford Performance last week and got an order number that they see in their system but does that actually mean an allocation is there for the dealer or they are just hoping it gets picked up?

Guess I have to start at square one again...

Just dropped by my dealer today and they have been issued a 2017 R white with blue OTT stripes coming in at some time and not sold.

Id start looking asap if you want an R this year. Sorry about this. This has to be one of the biggest CFs ive seen out of trying to get a vehicle in my generation.
If you need a 15k real allocation... pm me. They do courtesy delivery free too. I almost gave up a 10k because they are so much more kind in general.

Anything around 10k and below is a needle in a haystack right now. Wasn't as bad 6 months or even a year ago.
I was in your shoes too...sat on an msrp r order for months only to find it would never get picked up because they didnt have a real R allocation.

Edit, i need to make sure its ok with my buddy who forwarded me the info for the 15k allocation first.

Its yours man. He had it yesterday and probably has it today. Please thank my buddy who passed it to me. He's a great fella. The place i referred you to (bill) is a super nice salesman and will take care of you. Like i said, i was willing to spend 5k extra just to deal with him but already had an order in and want to get a car asap.
PS: feel for you man....it aint right.

I'm waiting on the same call from my dealer. I ordered a '17 R a couple of weeks ago and they've told me over and over again that they have an allocation, but I still don't trust them.

Guess it all started when a dealer sold me a wrecked, repaired, undisclosed, brand new Terminator in 2003.

I certainly hope I don't get the same call. I am a bit confused by the whole process. I don't have a VIN yet, but talked with my dealer tonight and they spoke with their Rep yesterday as he was in the dealership dealing with a Focus RS issue. He told them that I was lucky to have gotten the car so quickly after they identified the allocation. So, at this point I have confirmation from the Dealership owner, General Sales Manager and the Regional Rep saying I have a good order placed.

where are you from? I don't know the details you worked out with that dealership, but a friend of mine is a sales manager and they have an R available

The thought has obviously crossed my mind but what can I do even if that's the case.
Fricken sucks man. I don't know what Toyota did, but they made rules to where dealerships couldn't add ridiculous adm for the LFA.

Hard to pass up making 50k on adm alone and then making money off the back end. Thats some good eating and vacationing money split between the stealership employees.

Damn, $50K????? Just wow. I talked to my dealer today and the GSM told me that there are locator companies sending requests, one as recent as Tuesday of this week, offering $20K over for allocations. I can see why Dealer's are asking so much, they are paying $20K over themselves.
