COTUS Tracking: 2018 GT350 Order

Hello all! After many, many obsessive COTUS refresh rituals, my 2018 GT350 just popped up on the page. The tracking only works specifically on wwwqa.cotus.ford.com, with www.cotus.ford.com still being super helpful in divulging "A matching vehicle could not be determined. Please contact your dealer to get status updated about your order".

Additionally, ETIS has not changed since the first batch of details updated with the release of the VIN, reflecting just the placeholder information (ie vehicle line/ Engine/Transmission/build plant).

Order process thus far:
- 28 Jul; Build specs were given to my sale rep
- 29 Jul; Preview Order Sheet with a pri-code of 10
- 21 Aug (on or about); Ford tagged order with pri-code 01
- 31 Aug; VIN and "Scheduled to Week (Week of 09 Oct)"
- 01 Sep; "Scheduled to Day (12 Oct)"
- ETA: Between 31 Oct and 06 Nov

You're very welcome! To be fair, I cannot take source credit on that link; if it was not for all the useful tools, guides, and experiences posted within these forums...I might be lost haha. As for the car, thank you. I am super excited and cannot wait to drive it! The tracking updates WILL NOT help my patience at all (clicks refresh...clicks ref...clic...:eyebulge:).

Well, another COTUS update! My Shelby has transitioned from "In Order Processing" to "In Order Processing Completed On: 10.04.17" and moved to "In Production". It is getting close!

Wet try calling the Ford Performance number at 800.367.3788 they can tell you EXACTLY where your car is, especially once it is moving by rail...COTUS will only tell you it's in transit! I call every morning and they are very helpful...almost here! You will need the last 8 digits of your VIN...

As a recent recipient of an R, I tried to get tracking information above and beyond what cotus would provide. I was told that the dealer is the sole point of contact. No, none, nada, information was provided by ford performance or ford customer service pertaining to tracking.

Dealers can track thier asset. Contact them for whereabouts

I can't remember where I got the rail car #, but it was either the dealership or COTUS. Once I had it I could call the rail company and get updates on the whereabouts of the rail car. It was fun (and frustrating) to watch it make it's way south to me.

All the info you need is in the order tracking thread.

You will not get tracking information from ford performance. I'm sure they have it, but they wouldn't give it to me. Dealer only.

They even told me this AM that they can still track the car even though it's arrived at the final (rail) destination...and I've told tem I'm the buyer...try the number I've included above - they are very helpful.

Thank you all for your input; I was planning to call FP at one point or another...just don't wanna bug 'em too much haha. Another update: my window sticker is now available via http://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=, while the COTUS "Window Sticker" link is currently pulling a "404" error/blank PDF. I am guess the COTUS link will work sometime today. For anyone who would like to use the above forddirect tool, just place your VIN after the "vin=" within the link.

I have had great success tracking all of my cars in recent years through Ford customer service as well.

They absolutely refused to give me a train tracking number. They will tell you it is in transit and the expected ETA, but they didn't and wouldn't supply a tracking number.

Yes they are helpful, but I gathered that either they did not have the tracking number or they could not give it out.

The dealer inventory manager however was able to track the vehicle on the train and truck.

I'm not sure why FP wouldn't track your car Tom.. there is even an option for vehicle tracking when you call them on their phone menu. With that said the dealer had the most info.. using their info and mine I was actually aware the car was on their lot before my salesperson and sales manager were.
