Dealer disclosed scratches on inside upper door panel before I even got to the car. They had already ordered the part.

Noticed silver dollar sized bulge/dent from inside out dead center in trunk lid. It's more of a bulge and makes me wonder if others have this. You have to look at the lid at just the right angle to see it.

Third brake light is uneven. One side is higher than the other.

Mine is also.. Upon further investigation it appears it is the rear window.. (At least on mine).. They offered to warranty claim it, And I still may - Just not sure how I feel having the rear window pulled out.

Not bad for a 30-40k car that is produced on a production line and is otherwise known as a bargain buy car for its price point and performance.

I feel fortunate that all of the body panels on mine were in alignment, but I did have a couple of other issues. I can see where the dimple in the trunk panel may have escaped detection; it is pretty hard to see unless conditions are just right. However, how did the cracked dash trim piece pass QC and PDI??? Both parts are on order.

This...its a car with 400+ hp for 30-40k. There will be imperfections, but the ones with damage are under warranty. Body panels not lining up are very common in mustangs. 5th gen Camaros have bad paint...all of them.

When I was waiting for my car I worried as well seeing all the panel issues etc...but to my surprise I have waxed every inch of the car and have not found one single scuff, scratch, paint issue,or misalignment of any kind. Just perfect. I guess I consider myself lucky but I do work at the dealer and detail my own cars and get paid to PDI them as well.. so that is a bonus.

Cant tell if serious. This isn't a snickers bar you bought out of a vending machine for a dollar that you shrug off because the end is deformed.

I have had 2 new cars so far one being a Scion and the other being a Nissan, both under $30,000. Neither had crooked misaligned parts. That would be unacceptable at that price just as much as its unacceptable at $40,000.

2011 Fusion, 2011 Camry, 2002 F-150 and 2003 Mustang had none of these issues, so yes, I would expect my $40K car to be better! Only one of those close to, or in this case, more than the 15, was the SuperCrew.

Here are pics of what I am talking about:

Trunk lid:

Does anyone else have this?

BTW, if your opinion is that these are petty, you know what they say about opinions!! Unless you plan to reimburse me for the cost of the car, then yours doesn't matter.

The dimple in the rear panel is in the plastic, any little bump on the train or something could have caused that or just a bad part. Luckily it pops off and is not a painted piece so it should be a 10 min fix.

The rear brake light issue- sometimes you cause more problems (seal etc) having them mess with the car, especially when it comes to windows. It's not that bad nor would anyone notice it. You may just cause a string of problems with the window seal letting them mess with it as many people who have had windshield replacements will tell you its not always a 100% perfect factory seal ever again.

The bulge in the trunk lid, cant even see it. It could be in the metal or the paint itself (bubble or thick spot) and its so tiny that, again, I don't know that Id want them messing with it.

The cracked dash- big problem. That's crazy no one noticed it

But of course all of the above- this is why warranties exist. You are covered 100%.

To the people making faces at people saying it's just a defect, it's just a defect! These are not hand build Ferraris or Bugatti. These are build by robots on an assembly line and inspected the best that they can in the volume they are made at. You whine about some tiny tiny tiny defects and then whine you don't get your car fast enough. Which is it as you can't have it both ways?

badass, I just noticed my third brake light is the same as yours. Maybe it's a factory defect thing, mine is slanted the same way.
