Hello all! I've been a long time reader here but just recently made my account.
I have a 13' GT with 76k miles and I've been chasing a "random misfire" for a while. Was hoping I could get some input from the more experienced guys in here. I have my fair share of self taught mechanical knowledge, but I'm pretty new to the mustang world.
So my issue is this. If I am light throttle mid range rpms (3-4k), I sometimes experience a misfire event of 4 codes (cyl 1, 3, 4, and random) right as I go WOT. Say I'm about to run someone or just make a pull, this misfire happens from time to time. So far I have replaced coil packs and spark plugs, cleaned the maf, checked for vacuum leaks and tried a different tune. I noticed on the stock tune, if I were about 3.5k rpms and punch it the afr wouldn't drop below 14, but if I did a pull from below 3.5k rpm it would level out just under 12 afr and stay there. On the sct canned tune it will lower at any rpm as I would think is what should happen?
Right now I am running fuel treatment to see if it helps and I am purchasing a tune Monday from palm beach dyno so I can show them the logs. I did manage to get a log of the misfire event happening so that may be helpful for them. With all my efforts I can say the misfire doesn't happen nearly as often as it did previously. It used to throw 4 codes (cyl 1, 3, 4 and a random misfire) but this last time it only threw a cylinder 1 code.
Hoping for a little guidance as everything I look up about this leads to threads on misfires but never in this scenario.
