You sound madCongrats on being the problem with the aftermarket industry the last 10 years. You can justify the purchase price however you want, its your money. But your foolish in this case paying $1200 + for some steel tubing that costs probably about $50 to produce.
I agree corsa does sound very good, probably the best right now. But no one should be paying $1200-$1400 for a catback EVER. But since people like you have more money than common sense your creating an artificial ceiling companies like corsa can get away with charging, while screwing your less financially available enthusiasts.
Did a bunch of BMW owners convert to mustangs recently?
For what? For the absolute best sounding exhaust note on the market:headbonk:Nailed it. I was disgusted by the price of their exhaust. $1200 for what?! 1-2 hp and a cool sound? Highway robbery imho.

You seem mad bro.http://www.americanmuscle.com/corsa-xtreme-3in-catback-fb-2015gt.html

Only $900.
Yes I am mad. I am mad people are enabling this company to charge a complete rip off price for a little bit of metal piping. I am mad there are people who spend their hard earned (or not) money on something they are being taken over a barrel for.You sound madNo one is holding a gun to your head and telling you to buy a Corsa exhaust... There are plenty of affordable options out there such as Solo Performance, MRBP, etc. More money than sense? I had to run ebay downpipes on my last car because that's all I could afford, but I didn't go on the forums chastising people for paying the premium prices for the name brand exhausts. I've worked my ass off for years to get to where I was able to buy the car I wanted and I chose to spend the extra couple of hundred dollars over the other catbacks to get the sound I wanted the first time around. Sorry, just not going to lose sleep over your whining.
Yes they have the right to charge whatever they want. Does not mean we have to pay it. Its simple economics. You seem mad bro.
If you don't want to pay the prices, then don't. The company producing the product has the right to charge what ever they'd like. Just as you have the right to charge what ever you'd like if you were producing them.
And Borla isn't lol? Borla and Corsa are both great sounding exhausts, but both are also very pricey.Corsa has always been overpriced in everything.
I'd rather give my money to Borla
Great, then move on and stop thread crapping. Some of us are willing to pay it, some of us are not. You're not changing anyone's mind. My exhaust is already on my car and paid off. Now excuse me while I drive to work and enjoy the sound of hell's angels playing angry harp notes out the rear of my car.Yes I am mad. Could I afford to buy the full catback? Yes. But I am not going to no matter how good it sounds because its a joke of a price they are asking. LOL @ paying $500 for an x pipe.

Youre right R&D does play a part in the price, but not $1400. I find it almost hilarious people are find and dandy, even excited and promote being screwed over on a product.Geez. A lot of hate in here for no reason. This is how a free market economy works. Until either people stop buying the exhaust, or another company introduces a similar product for cheaper than it will be this way. However, you get what you pay for IMO. Although I feel a lot of the price reflects more than just "Steel Tubing" like R&D etc.
If it's really just $50 in steel tubing, than make your own? I feel Racemesh overcharges for their grilles, so I'm making my own in the next week for less.
And Borla isn't lol? Borla and Corsa are both great sounding exhausts, but both are also very pricey.
1. Just because my opinion differs from yours does not mean I am "thread crapping" or whatever that is supposed to mean.Great, then move on and stop thread crapping. Some of us are willing to pay it, some of us are not. You're not changing anyone's mind. My exhaust is already on my car and paid off. Well, they still beat Ford Racing....Too bad they came into the intake game for the S550 too late.
You've completely de-railed from the original topic which was a Corsa Intake to come in here and bash Corsa's prices and tell people they're idiots for paying premium prices for a premium product. It's not constructive whatsoever. I'd consider that thread crapping.1. Just because my opinion differs from yours does not mean I am "thread crapping" or whatever that is supposed to mean.
2. I am not trying to change the minds of anyone. Except maybe to get people to see why they should not pay the price they are asking. Obviously I am not going to change the mind of someone who has already bought and paid for it. Youre just going to use confirmation bias to justify your purchase. As in "Now excuse me while I drive to work and enjoy the sound of hell's angels playing angry harp notes out the rear of my car" LOL.
By this logic all medicine should be just a few cents per pill, screw research and development. You go on to say that Corsa sounds very good, probably the best currently. Did you ever stop to think how they created that sound? Surely not by just slapping $50 of steel tubing on a car and calling it a day. You're not just paying for materials, you're paying for the effort it took to design an exhaust that, by your own words, is probably the best sounding exhaust currently.Congrats on being the problem with the aftermarket industry the last 10 years. You can justify the purchase price however you want, its your money. But your foolish in this case paying $1200 + for some steel tubing that costs probably about $50 to produce.
