Ya would need one with different maf placement than that one to accomplish.

Yep. Even in the dead of winter, not even stock boxes are immune to heat soak and high IAT's if you're stationary for long enough. That should still be sealed up better though.

It seals pretty well to the hood. You can see the outline on the hood felt of the intake.

I was referring to the intake tube and the box on the Corsa. My mistake for not clarifying!
