Hey guys. I was doing my weekly fluid check on my GT500 and noticed coolant level is lower than recommended. Engine was cold, and car has about 1,300 miles on it.

I couldn’t find, see, or smell any leaks anywhere in or under the car. Anyone have theirs delivered from the factory low like this? In all honesty I can’t remember what the coolant level was last week when I took delivery since I was so excited.

I think I’m going to go get the Motorcraft coolant, add a little, and see if I’ve got a leak or not.

At least that’s what it reminded me of from that angle.

My car was delivered with approximately the same level (low) as you can see in this picture. It also came from the factory with Motorcraft Orange coolant. I would be interested in knowing if your owners manual differentiates this.

That’s really interesting. My manual specifics the same neon green color as KB’s. I’ll attach a photo of my manual. What chassis number is your car? Mine is 0717. Maybe they changed coolant types sometime during production?

My chassis number is 0240. Organic Acid Technology (OAT) coolants generally have orange as one of their colors while Inorganic Additive Technology (IAT) coolants are green. I suspect there was a change in the cooling system components/construction that necessitated the change.

Very informative. I see the print date for my little manual thing is December 2019. I wonder if the change happened somewhere in there.

@kilobravo , when was your car built again/what’s the chassis number?
