I have a 2015 ford mustang 3.7L and I am experiencing a coolant leak. I need some help if someone has had the same issue. I was getting off work and I saw a puddle on the ground under my car. I saw that it was coolant so i popped my hood and sure enough my coolant level was low. Whenever i got home i jacked up the car and looked under for any leaks. I found nothing. I then did a coolant pressure test on the system and the system held pressure. There is no sign of leaks anywhere. Nothing on the front cover, no hoses seem to be leaking. So i just topped off the coolant and when i got to work the next day i notice another puddle under the car, it was coolant again. i checked the level in the overflow tank and it was still on the max level. I’m lost right now, any ideas?

Could be the cap if the system holds pressure.

would there be coolant residue on the underside of the hood if it’s the cap? or could there be no sign of leaking and it still be the cap?

Perform a pressure test when the engine and drivetrain are stone cold, as in before driving. Sometimes, minor leaks will seal once the engine is up to temperature, then relax and leak again when cold.

As an after thought, when doing the pressure test cold, don't go all the way all at once. Try part of the pressure you'd been using, like 1/2 or a 1/3. See if there is any difference, versus the full pressure. Enough pressure to give a confident reading, but not so much you seal any possible leaks, as the engine and hoses might be doing once fully warmed up.

The coolant temperature and pressure in the system increases when you shut the car off because the water pump isn't moving the fluid through the radiator anymore. You can add some UV tracer dye to the coolant if you are struggling to find the leak. Then use a black light to try and find it.

Where is the puddle on the ground? Towards the radiator? towards the firewall?

Any coolant on the passenger side floor? Stick your head under the glovebox area and look for coolant in the carpet, or you might be able to smell it

no coolant on passenger side floor
Do you smell coolant in the air coming from the vents when you turn on the AC or heater?

no you can’t smell any coolant what so ever, you wouldn’t even know there’s a problem unless you saw the puddle.

Check the hoses that go through the firewall to the heater core. You may have a leak where the quick connect hose clips are. Not easy to get to, but should be almost in the middle of the firewall, behind the engine

yes, i’ve checked those already. No leaks that’s what’s throwing me off. There is no signs of leaks but there is a puddle of coolant under my car and fluid in reservoir keeps dropping

Time to put it up on ramps or jackstands and crawl under there while the engine is running. How much pressure did you put into the sytem when you pressure tested it? Are you using a compressor type or one that has a hand pump?
