Before I had my convertible, that was my theory also. But with the trunk lid raised to where the antenna is, it is 3.5" away from the trunk lid edge. And the spoiler, if it did go past that 3.5" width, then it would only touch the top 1 - 1.5" (depending on how far forward a spoiler sat on lid) of the flexible antenna. I know the factory would not design a spoiler to hit even that little bit of the antenna, But I think I would be OK with it for my car. And it may not even impact the antenna at all! A Roush spoiler mounts to the rear of the lid, not top, so it would clear the top of the antenna by 4-6".

I just remembered that CDC said the 'vert hood was a little different as far as spoiler mountting. SO maybe the GT spoiler would not have the proper contour or bolt patten. :(
Will have to look once mine gets in (if it ever does :)) The RPI one that you show above definitely will be a problem, it curls forward at the edges, meaning it will curl downward with the trunk open. Do not remember how flexible the antenna is, but probably would not get one myself.

I looked all over the place on the inside trunk lid, no sticker for me
The sticker is on the outside of the trunk. Upper right corner on the blackout panel near the brake light. if you open the trunk, it is easier to see.

I don't think the deck lids are inter-changeable with the fast back. The sticker may be to prevent them getting mixed up on the assembly line.

Not sure how much you guys have been watching the "panel alignment" threads, but curious if anyone else has noticed this issue with the trunk lid? I bet those with a spoiler may have it hidden some possibly.

I had my car in the dealer for several panel alignment issues, and while they fixed some but not all, the worst one IMO is the trunk lid. Since this is specific to convertibles, I wanted to see if anyone on here has noticed this too? I looked at a car in the dealer's showroom that was built in February and it has the EXACT same shape on the left side of the lid.

The left side of the lid, you can see the gap widens as it flows around the back of the car, but the right side looks pretty good. Then in the side view, you can see the shape around the corner as it bends toward the back doesn't match the fender. The right side isn't too bad, but does slightly sit up along the edge when looked from the side. I can live with that, but the left side of the lid is ridiculous.

My left side doesn't look as bad as yours but it is off by about a 1/4". I took it into the dealer about 3 months ago and they were unable to adjust it. Told me I need to make an appointment with their body shop. I just haven't gotten around to that yet.

I left my car with them for almost 2 weeks, so they had plenty of chance to fix what they could. I presume I will need a new trunk lid to fix it, but if all the stampings are this bad, will it actually fix the issue??

Let me know when you're ready to go in, Iggy. I'm here to help! PM your VIN, mileage, name, phone number, and dealer info. I'll loop in a customer service manager to assist with the process. :)
