And the first pic is what most other drivers will see of our cars :first:
As much as I agree with your statement, it's not the view I will see first as an owner. I will never see that view of my car. (Or rarely). Most times I will get a side or 3/4 view while approaching my vehicle. :headbonk:

I started a thread in the Road Course/Track section, http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75186 , but for those that don't check that out, here's some news...

Just to let S550 convertible owners know who may be interested, I made an inquiry with http://www.watsonracing.com/ (located in Michigan) about a product that would allow me to participate in road course events that stipulate open top cars must have a cage/bar of some sort to do so.

My initial inquiry was regarding the cage they currently produce for the S550 coupe and if it could be modified to fit a convertible. John from Watson Racing responded back that their coupe cage would not fit a convertible but that they are currently working on an application that would indeed fit and that it would be ready to ship in the very near future.

So if you're like me and like to attend these events from time to time, this is great news.

The person I've been speaking with there is John Phillips. If you'd like more information, he can be reached at [email protected]

Why would you return the back seats with those bars? Seems like no one can sit back there now and the seats are added weight.

Hopefully you replaced your back speakers while you had the chance... that is like my 2nd or 3rd most important mod. :D

Thank you for the pics and post... great stuff.

Thanks man...

Ya, my guess is that the back seat in place would help with the sound isolation, especially if you're running any kind of exhaust. Alternatively, I'm sure some form of seat delete carpeted/insulated panel could be utilized as yes, the seats would become useless at this point.

And this is coming from someone from down south :paddle:

I was thinking the second year the car was in storage would make it easier on me with the wait but it's not :brokenheart:

I have an ecco... not worried about sound. I thought that was your car, I should have paid more attention... All good... good find.

I don't worry about roll bars too much, until I go home and I'm running on the back roads... running them all my life on and off but they are dangerous. Took out a lot of my friends -- some who were equal or a better driver than I. I normally drive slow on those roads anyway now... they are in need of repair in some sections.

Speaking of that, I'm going to visit my mom in SC next week. Why? It will be 66 on Sat and 75 on Sun!!!! TOP DOWN NEXT WEEKEND.... YEA I'M ALL CAPS, BABY.

Don't tell her that is the reason though... :D

Went from freaking top down 60's to freezing my nuts off in less than 24 hours.
Same here! Had the top down yesterday; shoveling snow today.
