I've never heard of a race track with sound restrictions, but if they did I would expect they would mean no open header or something to that effect.

Just about all of the modern sports cars have computer controlled valves, my old Z06 did, my friends 458, etc., I just can't imagine a full throttle factory car with the valves open would get you thrown off a track? :headbonk:

Burger Motorsports makes a valve controller for BMW cars (and other brands I think) where you can open and force close them on demand. I would think another company could do the same for Ford cars. Or call them and see if they interested in branching out to Ford. It is all software/computer controlled so it shouldn't be that hard to do. Says the guy that hates computers. :doh:;):headbonk:

RR has 103db, AMP has very restrictive sound, RA has quiet time on Sunday, lime Rock park, NCM, and the list goes on. And yes some pure stock cars can't pass sound.

So so so many tracks have pretty restrictive limits and even those that are pretty high, it's still possible to get black flagged with a louder car. My buddy in his admittedly very loud Boss 302 got flagged for sound at Sonoma and Thunderhill during our track adventure last month. And those are tracks that you'd think are restrictive.

We were going to go to Laguna but the sound limit there is so ridiculously low most days you can't even run a stock GT350 there. A track here in Phoenix (also known as AMP) sits literally adjacent to an Air Force base and has similarly low sound limits. It's ludicrous.
