I have a 2015 GT, engine is completely stock, 70K miles. It has lived on Mobil 1 synthetic for all of its life. I pulled the valve covers last year to change out the VVT solenoids and the engine looks absolutely immaculate inside. It doesn't get abused, so I'm think the engine should be very healthy inside. All of my previous mods are either suspension, Interior, or stereo. It does have a Bassani Cat-Back exhaust.
I've looked at the Whipple site, and see the stage 1 and stage 2 kits. It there a reason for me to not do the stage 2, when I have to live with 91 octane CA gas? I'm in Central CA valley, so it gets HOT here in the summer. I do have the discipline to not hammer it when the temps are high.
What else should I be taking into consideration here? I'm not going to race it, no drag launches, I just want a fast and drivable street car with good manners. I understand engines, so bring the tech if need be.
TIA
John
