Car ran good on stock whipple tune using 93 octane and no booster. Unfortunately, the snout of my crankshaft broke at 12,000 miles and took my entire motor out. Happened 6/14/19 , just 8 days beyond the 3 year powertrain warranty the dealer gave me for my supercharged setup.How has the car treated you so far at that power on pump gas with no BAP? Any octane booster?
With the car being my daily driver and to minimize downtime I ended up ordering an aluminator engine and upgraded to a stage 3 BC MT82 in hopes of bullet proofing the drivetrain.
I have since switched to a custom PBD tune, DW 95 lb injectors , JMS BAP, 3.5 pulley making 819 whp on 22.5 timing using 93 octane and 1 bottle of boostane shot at each fill up (96 octane). Car drives the best it ever has and I've been as quick as 9.998 and as fast as 137.9 mph at 4120lb race weight. Car now has 16,600 miles on it without any issues running the 93 octane/boostane shot combo.
