hold the toggle until it states advance trak off. case closed
Nope, after the timer it toggles back on. At least for 21, the 500 seems different.

Edit: I guess the only time I haven’t tried the toggle hold is in park, so I’ll try that today. But stopped in Norm or Sport it just cycles back and forth.

In any 2015+ Mustang, holding the traction control button/switch for 8+ seconds until you see the yellow warning "ADVANCETRAC OFF" (in ANY mode)will turn off stability control completeley.

The squiggly yellow burnout icon that comes on automatically in track mode is NOT ADVANCETRAC stability control. You still need to hold it for 8+ sec to turn everything completely off.

And yes it stays off at all speeds and does not come back on automatically. However, if you put the car in park, or change drive modes, ADVANCETRAC turns back on and you have to push and hold for another 8+ seconds in the new drive mode.

For tracking the GT500, ALWAYS drive it in track mode and for 99.9% of drivers, leave it in track mode and don't turn off ADVANCETRAC. Unless you can turn lap times within half a second of the cars ability; the stability control will NOT hold you back or slow you down; but it'll likely save you.

ok I must have held my face right, it works most of the time! 😁 I can still get it to fail but whatever, it works. That just means I’m doing something wrong.

Thanks everyone! I’m humbled!

Sideshow. Bet me.
Bet you for what?? You want to bet on a guy wrecking his car? Do you know him or his skill set? If I did bet you, you would then be hoping he does wreck it which is a trash mindset.

I took off from a light this afternoon turning left and the car slid sideways through the intersection, I just had it in Sport mode. I was not expecting this and almost had to change my boxers.

Hmmm..if the pavement wasn't wet, that surprises me quite a bit. I've tried to make that happen in a safe area and couldn't.
The best way to spin to get some momentum first. Brake -> Cut the wheel -> mash the gas at like 30 mph. It also works in the opposite sequence. (See every Mustang fail video).
